so im want to make a simple site that will help my little girl enjoy
learning, i have started by putting a few hundred different sums into
a database,a column for the sums and another for the answers.
i
am able to select a random sum each page load and display it with a
text box for the answer and then compare the input to the answer in
the database but i can only figure out how to do this one sum at a
time.
Can someone please help me come up with a way to display at
least 5 different sums then check them all at the same time
Im currently doing a bit with silverlight, but im having to use custom
objects as silverlights shapes are pretty rubbish for doing collision
detection... Anyway im having to support the following types of
collision:
Rectangle - Contains/Intersects
Circle -
Contains/Intersects
Polygon - Contains/Intersects
Now it
would be great if someone could just give me the code for the above,
and i would do a little dance and give you lots of virtual smiles, but
if anyone can just point me to a place where i can find a quick(ish)
way to implement the above it would be great...
The objects would
only ever work with Points in contains (x/y) or Rect

Development
Hi all,
I'm trying to build a question/answer maths programme for
13 year olds. The sort of questions being asked include
multiplication/division, simple algebra (eg factorise: 2a + 2b = ?)
and fractions.
The current method I have for checking answers is
a straightforward text comparison of the students answer to what is
saved. However, where there is more than one right answer - (eg 2a +
2b can be factorised as either 2(a+b) or 2(b+a)) this won't always
work and so I'm left with having to store all the different possible
correct answers and then check the students against each...
Has
anyone got any better ideas how to approach this? I've been
