Hi,
I'm quite new to Linux (been a windows user for years and years) and I'm loving my experience so far. I installed Ubuntu on my dell machine via Wubi and my problem right now is my wireless connection. I have no problem with my router or connecting to the net using my machine running windows. This has only happened when I'm using Ubuntu. For no apparent reason, I stop getting internet, pages stop working and I have to disconnect from my router and reconnect to finally get back online. It's been quite annoying so far...any help?

Wireless disconnecting when inactive

Hi.
I've noticed a problem with my wireless setup in Linux (the one I just got working that I mentioned in the "wireless-on-SPARC" thread). If I don't use it for a while, and come back to it, it has "disconnected" and I have to reset it by bringing it down then up. Why is it doing this and how can I stop it? Power management is "off" according to iwconfig.
Disconnecting Wireless Linksys

I have about 6 computers running off of my wireless router (my new roomates router actually.) It seems that every few hours, the router wants to stop working. The strange thing is that the wireless works all the time, but the ethernet cords that are plugged into the router just stop working. Is it because of bit torrent?
I'm a newbie with routers and internet related stuff.
Thanks for any tips on how to fix it.
Wireless keeps disconnecting!

I have a linksys wrt54g router and a Super G 802.11BG Wireless Pci 64 Bit Xp Compliant Turbo Mode wireless card. I downloaded a small utility which disables wireless zero configuration tool after a connection is found on windows starting up. The problem is though, every 20-40 mins, my internet will disconnect and it won't be able to reconnect because the wireless zero configuration was disabled by the utility. Do you know what would be causing this? I have 4/5 bar connection for the most part that ranges from 36-54mbps. I also am using WPA2 TKA+AES as security. It's extremely frustrating and I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Disconnecting From Neighbors Wireless

Okay, this is opposite from those who try to piggy-back on a
neighbor's wireless. I want to -stop- connecting to a neighbor. We
have a wireless setup and just a couple days ago a neighbor
apparently installed one. Zone Alarm popped up and told me about it.
All was fine until I tried to download headers in my Agent newsreader
and it told me I was connected on two computers. Low and behold my
laptop had decided to switch to the neighbors wireless connection.
How can I tell my laptop to only connect to our wireless router and
stop latching onto the neigh
