Batch processing in Java: billing online purchases

HOME ยป Java
Hi everyone! I am writing my first serious batch processing
application. The task is to create a bill from online purchases. The
customers purchase data are stored in a database. I have to create an
XML file from this data every day and save it some where.
So
these are the steps that I think I should do:
- Get the data for
every unique customer from the database for the past day. If customer
has more than one purchase at the batching time, sum all the
purchases.
- An XML file is created per each customer (The
difficult part?)
- Mark into the database those purchases that
are processed/billed (so that next day they are not processed
again)
My quest
Hi,
I am I hope a resonably talented flash designer/animator with
a good knowledge of action script etc.
However there just seems
to be too much to learn to create everything myself.
I am
interested in how this forum was put together. I have seen similar
systems at "were-here", and "sheep-game" etc and I
guess you guys must be buying in the forum system or using some kind
of software to generate it. I dont have the time to learn php and
mysql in depth, I would like to concentrate on what i do best. Could
you let me know how/ where the forum comes from is it available to
buy. Also any info about off the shelf chat rooms, online credit card
ordering etc
