We have a single domain environment with Windows 7 64bit clients. Some
of our users have to "CLICK INTO THE PASSWORD FIELD" after
they hit ctrl-alt-delete when they login.
Is there a way to save
users the step of having to click into the Password Field before they
enter their passwor

When I currently startup Ubunto 7.04 then a screen with the Login
entry field appears. I have to enter the name and hit RETURN.
Afterwords a second screen appears with the password field.

When I boot Ubuntu 10.04 then at first the login screen appears with
the main user
In 99% of the cases I use
"Peter" and have explicitely to click on Peter.
then the password entry field appears and I can enter it.

I was trying to setup a login without having to enter a
password on my Ubuntu 12.04 desktop. I chose "Login without a
password" from System Settings -> User Accounts. This
prevented me from doing sudo. Looking up on google informed of this

when i try to login with AD credentials
on Ubuntu 10.10 and the user has is password almost expire, the gdm
hang and display the message "your password will expire in ...
if i login with any other user without that
restriction, it works flawless.
