Hey all,
I run a small blog website just for a few
friends/colleagues of mine, and I give them the option to upload up to
five files to their account. I had about 200 folders with their files
(meaning 200 users uploaded at least one file) and I lost all the
files one day...the result of some poor coding on my part and a swift,
uncanny Googlebot.
I had uploaded my sitemap to Google Sitemaps,
and at around the time I lost everything, Google was crawling my
site...everywhere. I don't have a robots.txt file to disallow any
robots, so it felt the need to browse my site, even where I didn't
want it to go.
First things first: in my upload script I had

Please help!
I have written a class that resize images. The test
script is working fine on my local server which runs php5. In my
hosting package I have php 5 too. The problem I am getting is, while
trying to upload an image for the first time the image directories are
not being automatically created and hence no actual files are being
transferred. Could you be kind enough to see if you can run this
script on your server (local/remote) and can upload images. And I
would also like to know what you may think that is stopping these
directories to be created. I talked to the technical support and they
said all write permissions have been granted. It's worth mentioning
there is no dat

Hi,
I've got a script to upload images by users. What happens is
users usually put special characters on filename like "ç" and "ã".
When they do so the filename on server gets weird like this
"canóú.jpg". I would like to have some help on this script
to remove this special charactres from filename on upload.
Here
is the script I got:

? $_FILES['userfile']['tmp_name'] :
""); />$userfile_name=(isset($_FILES['userfile']['name'&

Hardware

So, I have a webapp I am creating using the 3 muskateers yeoman,
grunt and bower.

My questions are:

  • What is best practice when it comes to uploading my webapp into
a git/mercurial repo? Do I include the entire project? What about
directories like 'node_modules' or 'test', etc?

  • Also, when deploying to live production site: Will my 'dist'
folder be what I should be uploading?

With research yielding no results (I could be searching the wrong
things?).. I'm a bit new to this process so any feedback is greatly
appreciated. Thanks!
