Join two table and fetch data!

HOME ยป Databases

I have two table and want to fetch data from them.
This query working fine:
"Select * from myads join users on myads.id = users.id";
but the problem is I want to use one of the field as counter
For the Single table this works for me:
"SELECT *,(30-DATEDIFF(now(),updateDate)) as counter FROM myads";
Now, my question is how can i combine this two querys.. any help will be helpful.

Join data from one table between ordered values in another table
Databases

I have two table of numbers. I need to join them sequentially. I am looking for the most efficient way to do this. Actually. I am working with dates but I will explain with numbers for simplicity.

TABLE 1 has data 1, 3, 6, 8
TABLE 2 has data 1.1, 2.3, 4.5, 6.5, 8.8, 8.9

I want values >= 1 and < 3 ... >= 3 and < 6 ... >=6 < 8 etc

I want a result like

1 1.1
1 2.3
3 4.5
6 6.5
8 8.8
8 8.9

So, basically I want the values >= my current row but < then next higher row.

I need this to be very efficient because it will be run on a large dataset using dates instead of numbers.

Spring Data 'Left Join Fetch' query returning null
Databases

My query looks like this:

@Query("SELECT p FROM Pilot p LEFT JOIN FETCH p.playerShips
WHERE p.nickname = (:nickname)")

So far so good. I'm getting Pilot instance even when playerShips is empty.
Now, I want to fetch only inactive ships so I modified my query to look like this:

@Query("SELECT p FROM Pilot p LEFT JOIN FETCH p.playerShips
s WHERE p.nickname = (:nickname) AND s.active = false")

and I'm getting null as a pilot so it clearly doesn't work.
I'd be glad if someone could explain me how to create a JOIN FETCH query with WHERE clause that applies to the child elements. Thanks in advance.

How to fetch data from Oracle cursor into a temporary table and then print out the data in SQLPlus?
Databases

I am fetching data from cursor in the way like this:

variable rc refcursor
spool file.txt
set timing on
exec :rc := someoraclepackage.somefunction(some,parameters,here)
set timing off
print rc
spool off

But I've identified a problem with TIMING. Some packages give me the real time of their execution, but some other not. They show me time like 120 miliseconds, and the real time of processing the package is for example 10 minutes.

I need the exact time of the package processing for performance testing.

All I have heard about the solution of this problem is:

  1. Inserting the data from the cursor to a temporary table (database server side), to count the real package runtime.
  2. Running a select * on the temporary table to fetch the data (jenkins side)

But I have no Idea where to start with putting the data from the cursor to a temporary table, and I don't know if this is the real solution of the problem...
