VirtualizingStackPanel + FlipView recycling problem

I am trying to achieve a list of images (much like the Pictures hub)
from a zip or rar archive containing jpg files in a WP8 universal app.
I've already got a so-so solution using a custom control in a
Silverlight app, but I wanted to try the FlipView to get much nicer
animations (scrolling, snapping, snap-back). However, I'm seeing a
big problem with the virtualization from the VirtualizingStackPanel
inside the FlipView.
My setup:
The ItemsSource property of
the FlipView is bound to a List of custom class type VirtualizedItem.
My VirtualizedItem contains an ImageSource get accessor that extracts
an image from an archive (rar file) and loads it to a BitmapImage with
scr

Development Tools & Services

I’ve developed a website using ASP.NET 2.0 & deployed it
on IIS 6.0.I’m using Cookies to store user related information.
The expiry of this cookie is set for ‘7’ days. In IIS one
new application pool is created to be used by my web site. This
application pool is configured to ‘recycle’ for every 24
hours.
Now the problem is after recycling the server is not
accepting cookies & appending the cookies which i create through
my code.

This is what I’m doing to test application.

1)I’ve browsed the application from browser & ensured
that cookies is created.This cookies will be expired after 7 days
after its creatio

Hardware

I want to change the orientation property like the following
below:

<Style x:Key="FlipViewStyleV" TargetType="FlipView">
<Setter Property="ItemsPanel">
<Setter.Value>
<ItemsPanelTemplate>
<VirtualizingStackPanel
AreScrollSnapPointsRegular="True" Orientation="Vertical" />
</ItemsPanelTemplate>
</Setter.Value>
</Setter>
</Style>

And I want to let it worked when the device orientation changed,
the orientation property should also follow the change. But it does
not worked when I add a button in the code-behind to change the
orientation from vertical to horizontal, does some one know?

Web Development

I try to implement a vertical flipview using href="https://github.com/openaphid/android-flip"
rel="nofollow">android-flip

My code is very similar to href="https://github.com/openaphid/android-flip/blob/master/FlipView/Demo/src/com/aphidmobile/flip/demo/FlipComplexLayoutActivity.java"
rel="nofollow">FlipComplexLayoutActivity ,

the difference is, i am using Picasso-Thumbnail-Downloader to show
a photo. With this simple layout everything works fine. But it would
be nice to flip some photos horizontal inside the whole vertical
flipview.

This is what i done before, but didn´t work.

@Override
public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent)
{
View layout = convertView;
if (convertView == null) {
layout = inflater.inflate(R.layout.complex1, null);
AphidLog.d("created new view from adapter: %d", position);
}
final Travels.Data data = travelData.get(position %
travelData.size());

//new FlipView for Photos
flipView = new FlipViewController(inflater.getContext(),
FlipViewController.HORIZONTAL);
flipView.setAnimationBitmapFormat(Bitmap.Config.RGB_565);
adapter = new TrickPicAdapter(c, a, arr);
flipView.setAdapter(adapter);

UI
.<TextView>findViewById(layout, R.id.title)
.setText(AphidLog.format("%d. %s", position, data.title));
UI
.<LinearLayout>findViewById(layout, R.id.photo)
.addView(flipView);
UI
.<TextView>findViewById(layout, R.id.description)
.setText(Html.fromHtml(data.description));
UI
.<Button>findViewById(layout, R.id.wikipedia)
.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
@Override
public void onClick(View v) {
Intent intent = new Intent(
Intent.ACTION_VIEW,
Uri.parse(data.link)
);
inflater.getContext().startActivity(intent);
}
});
return layout;
}

Instead of a ImageView, i used a LinearLayout as Placeholder for
the ImageView and build a new flipView and added to the Placeholder.

Nothing crashs during runtime, but also nothing is shown, only the
initial background.
Maybe something goes wrong with may selfmade "TrickPicAdapter". I
don´t know.

Hope somebody could confirm my approach is correct or i am totally
wrong.
