Ze MIDI music file player

Many of you know how I like to use sound to make the old computer
box more interesting. The midi file packs a lot of neat instrumental
music. It is very simple to play, even in a console application,
using the winmm.lib file that comes with just about any Windows based
compiler. Here is the code. Turn up the speakers and blast the dust
off the rafters!

I look at BCX-basic as a modernized qbasic. This simple code
creates a Windows GUI program that plays a midi instrumental music
file. To keep it simple, the file it looks for is "TheRose.mid" file.
If you don't have this file, you have the option of editing the code,
or simply to rename a midi file you have and stick it in the working
folder.

Here is a short Python program using the module pygame that lets
you play a midi music file. Midi files are instrumental music files
that pack a lot of good sound into a small file. They are very popular
with web page designers.

Hello, I tried TImididy but even if it seems to be installed I do not
see it in the program list, and typing it with alt and F2 does not
make it run :'( How do I run it?
PLease can you tell me of a
program that works with MIDI music files (plays them, and maybe can
make a playlist ) I have tried to find older threads but nothing
helped me.
THanks

Is there a music player / script that has the option of storing music
rating in the mp3 file itself instead of in a separate db/library
file? I think this is a good idea because it would not tie you to a
specific media management software, and I'll be able to sync music
library with windows media player (on another computer) or any player
that supports this really easily with svn or something (not just once,
but every time I change a rating)
If that's not possible, is
there at least a script that does that (converts rating info in the
mp3 with the library of a specific player, and do the same the other
way around) ? So i can schedule it to run every once in a while to
sync the r

Hi all,
I could use some help finding a piece of software.
Trouble is, I don't quite know what it would be called, so I haven't
had any luck finding it.
What I'm looking for is something that
would take a music score and play it back via jack to a software
synthesizer's MIDI input. Specifically, I am re-learning organ using
aeolus, an organ synthesizer. I don't have a pedalboard yet, so I want
something to play the pedal line till I get one.
Thanks for any
suggestions,
treacl
