ZoneAlarm Security Pack question - allowing popups

HOME ยป Hardware

Hello - I recently reformatted my Windows XP with a disk from 2002. Within 30 seconds of hooking up my DSL modem, I'm flooded with popups, spyware, etc etc. So, I installed ZoneAlarm's 15 day free trial so I can d/l all the windows security updates with at least some protection. My problem is there are some sites where I need the pop ups and ZA is blocking them (pogo for example :cheesy: ). I need to know how to allow certain popups. I've "approved" this site, but still get popups blocked. Holding down the Ctrl or Alt key does NOT work. I've searched ZA's help section, but it's like reading Greek - not very simple to me at all.

Thx!

Anyone using ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite
Hardware
I would like to know who else is using ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite on the Win 7 64bit.
It seem like after uninstalling ZA ISS, my computer seem to be stable as I kept having BSOD recently.
Should I try to install the ZA ISS again and test it out, or to play safe, get another Internet Suite?
I am worried that what if I gotten the new Internet Security Suite and it happen again.
Or, should I try to redo my entire Window 7.
Need some guidance.

Hi All Does anyone know how to enable the ZoneAlarm security engine 1.5.396.0 with Firefox 16.0.1? I have briefly checked about:config in Firefox to no avail. I'm sure there's a genius out there who may be able to assist! Cheers Ich
ZoneAlarm Security Suite
Hardware
Currently I use the ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite--I haven't had any infections or serious problems with my computer since installing it.
However, one feature that I find extremely annoying is that occasionally it will block my browser, despite having a perfectly stable connection to the internet. Typically, after being online for long periods of time, my browsers will start giving me the "server not found" in most tabs, however chatrooms are unaffected. I also maintain stable connections in my messaging program and bittorrent client, so the issue is not my internet connection. I've had to shut down ZoneAlarm, refresh all of my tabs, and then restart ZoneAl
McAffee Security Center or ZoneAlarm Extreme Security?
Hardware

Hi all,

Just wanted your opinion on which security suite to run on my new Windows 7 Dell Studio 8100 (Intel i7 CPU) machine. The machine came with McAffee Security Center as standard and it seems a decent program, but they don't offer anything in the way of browser virtualization, which was a feature of ZoneAlarm Extreme Security Forcefield that I have always liked. ZoneAlarm did, however, slow down my 2003 era Dell 8300 XPS slightly, in terms of booting the PC and browser, and shutting down.

Does anyone here run Extreme Security with browser virtualization on a Windows 7 machine? Does it slow down the opening of the Internet browser, or slowdown or hang the boot up or shu

ZoneAlarm Security Suite 7 Anti-Virus broken
Hardware

A number of users are reporting that the new Kaspersky AV component in the latest ZoneAlarm Security Suite 7 is broken. And broken in such a way as to leave your system unprotected while appearing to be fully functional.

The problem manifests itself after a successful installation with the AV engine corrupting during a system signature update. Once corrupted it simply fails to offer any protection at all, although the user will be none the wiser of this unless they happen to put their protection to the test.

Something as simple as running an EICAR file past the scanner will do the trick.

With numerous complaints in the tech support forum, I thought I would investig
