How to approach dilemma: export orders from old magento system import into new magento, overlapping IDs

HOME ยป Databases

During an upgrade from Magento 1.5 to 1.7 unfortunately we had to reinstall Magento (don't ask) and now I need to get all of the old order information into the live upgrade. I've researched several scenarios. First would be identifying the tables in the database they correspond to and migrating those tables over, but I have three issues with that. One: I already did a little bit of that and because of the discrepancies between 1.5 and 1.7 caused several hours of debugging fun. Two: I can't figure out specifically which of these freaking tables needs updating (was going to just replace all sales_ tables). Third: since the upgrade other orders have been placed, and as you know, started orde

Import Orders, Payments from Magento to Quickbooks Desktop
Databases

We are importing order and payment data from Magento to Quickbooks Desktop version. Below are two queries - these give successful responses, but no data is imported. Any ideas for us?

First, we create a query to form a orders stack

$qb_order = new QuickBooks_IPP_Object_Invoice();
$qb_meta = new QuickBooks_IPP_Object_MetaData();
$qb_meta->setCreateTime($order->getCreatedAt());
$qb_meta->setLastUpdatedTime($order->getUpdatedAt());
$qb_order->setMetaData($qb_meta);
$qb_header = new QuickBooks_IPP_Object_Header();
$qb_header->setDocNum
Magento Export/Import Problems

Can anyone tell me which server configuration will be required for a Magento site with 50k customers and more than 2k products?

I've been experiencing a lot of speed-related issues and 500 Internal Server Errors while attempting to export customers.

I also have other issues such as: no visible Reorder button on cancelled orders;
when exporting products and customers the Continue button is not visible; and other issues. I am using Plesk panel.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Magento export orders to 3PL soap api issue
Databases

I have been reimplementing this script for a client after upgrade and I'm stuck (perhaps the brain is fried). Most of it is none of your concern. The part I'm having an issue with is here:

try
{
$customer_exists = $client->call($sess_id, 'sales_order.info', $ShippedOrderId);
}
catch (exception $e)
{
echo 'Exception: ' . $e . "<br/>";
}

It's throwing the following exception:

"Exception: SoapFault exception: [100] Requested order not exists. in /home/ab71714/

Magento order import export
Databases

Is there a way to import/export orders by CSV in Magento? I thought I could do this with profiles but if i try to create a new profile it makes me choose only between customers and products. I looked for an extension but i haven't found anything (anyway i'm looking for something free). Have you got some suggestions?

Using Memcache for multiple Magento website sessions. Are Magento's session Ids unique to each site?
Databases

I have a quick question about how Magento handles the uniqueness of it's session ids.

I've setup Memcache on a server running approximately 10 Magento instances. I intend on using Memcache to handle the session storage for all of the websites.

Will having multiple Magento websites using a single instance of Memcache have any session conflicts where one site's session Id could be interpreted or overwritten by another?

If not, is there a way to set a prefix on the session id in Magento's local.xml file?
