Is the CPU active in Sleep mode? – superuser.com

Suppose on a Windows OS, you toggle the computer to go into sleep mode
and put it away. As far as I know there will no programs or processes
will be running.

But would the processor still be running ...
I ran Ubuntu from version 9.10 to 11.04 in my laptop. Currently using
Mint 11 GNOME version.
The laptop always goes to sleep mode when
switching from AC to battery power while using all the versions of
Ubuntu and Mint cited above. I can resume without any apparent
problems.
I suspect this strange behavior might be a power
management bug caused by the Mobility Radeon HD 2400 that equips my
mobo, as I have read many stories about unfortunate ATI card owners
having problems with power management, OpenGL and etc. both with
radeon and fglrx. Well, it's only a guess. Maybe this problem actually
has nothing to do with the GPU.
I'm using the radeon module since

I have not been using Nautilus for a while, so am a bit rusty... is
there a way to open a folder within Nautilus as super user (without
having to open a terminal and sudo nautilus)?

I had about 20 tabs open in Google Chrome, and about 5 in the
incognito mode which is basically a personal version with its own set
of daily use tabs, I know that when I close my incognito window I ...

How to setup two linux machines in active/active HA mode?

1. I have a two routers(linux machines) configured in active/passive
HA mode
using keepalived vrrp daemon and conntrackd.
2. keepalived is used for feature of high availability.
3. conntrackd is used for connection tracking.
4. Virtual IP is shared between master and slave and that is used as
gateway for local network.

The setup works fine in active/passive mode where single node(master)
active at a time.
On failure of master, second node (slave) goes in master state and
functionality continues with minimum downtime.

Now I want to setup these routers in active/active HA mode, where
1) Whole network traffic should pass through master node.
2) Master node load balance the traffic between itself and slave node.

I tried out for same using keepalived, but keepalived can load balance
the traffic at layer 7.
I also checked with HAProxy, but there is no provision for load
balance the traffic at layer 3.
Am I going in wrong direction by using keepalived/HAProxy for
active/active HA?
Is there any other tool that can be used for the same?
