Booting problem after trying to dual boot fedora 23 and windows 8.1 [SOLVED]

HOME ยป Unix

I tried to install fedora 23 on dual-boot with an usb stick today,
I followed this video tutorial : href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOP_FtP1e9U"
rel="nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOP_FtP1e9U

I'm in UEFI mode, so I installed fedora and everything worked
perfectly until I had to reboot, then I got this error:

Reboot and Select proper Boot device or insert Boot Media in
selected Boot Device and press a key.

I searched a lot for this error and it seems that a lot of people
have problems with it. So I tried to resolve it by restarting my
computer, going into the BIOS settings and changing the order of my
boot device so my hard disk was in first place and my CD/DVD was in
second place, I saved and restarted, it didn't work.

I also tried to put the CD/DVD in first place and it didn't work
either, my BIOS version is 2.15.1227. I can only put my usb stick back
and load fedora in live mode, so I tested the command to see in wich
mode I am and I am still in UEFI.

Here is my boot order :

I disabled the secure boot and the hibernation mode is on.

Even after changing the boot order, I still get the error, I don't
know what to do, any help would be appreciated,
regards.

EDIT : I finally solved it by reInstalling Fedora in the right mode
(UEFI) thanks to "lakedevu"

Ubuntu
I recently installed Ubuntu 10.04 dual-boot on my laptop as a
dual-boot with Windows Vista. I wanted to manually repartition, but
gParted could not shrink my partition, and it had a yellow caution
sign with an exclamation point on it next to my windows partition, and
i had no internet access at the time, so i just popped in the cd, and
let ubuntu do the partitioning for me..
Since it couldn't shrink
my windows partition, it took a decent 18GB chunk out of my recovery
partition, but there was still a reasonable amount of space left. But,
after using ubuntu for a while, and trying to boot into Windows, it
kept restarting on startup, and I couldn't use windows. I tried
running ntfsresize
Ubuntu
but the DVD with the ISO wont boot up, nor will the USB drive, which i
formatted and set to a bootable ubuntu state(or so i thought) />i've gone into bios and changed boot order and still nothing, just
the grub installed by fedora appears.
any help welcome />thanks in advanced!

I just upgraded from 12.04 to 13.04, but my problem is that while I
can get Ubuntu to work, the GRUB menu shows up first instead of WBM,
and if I make the latter show up by repairing the MBR, I get something
similar to this upon selecting Ubuntu from the Windows boot menu: />http://i.stack.imgur.com/AfDkp.jpg

Hello!
I succesfully intalled windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 in uefi
mode, they both will boot and work perfectly, but the problem is when i
power on the computer it will automaticaly boot to Windows 7,so to get
to the Grub menu i have to Press F9 then choose Ubuntu from device
boot list and after that the grub appears and again choose Ubuntu from
the list...how can i set it to boot by default to Grub and not to
Windows boot manager? also here is a link with bootinfo from
BootRepair : http://paste.ubuntu.com/5986012/ if someone can help me

seems to have an answer..
