Network Manager doesn't show Wireless connection

HOME ยป Unix

I've just installed on my Debian Sid with XFCE4 network manager, but I have a problem, no wireless connection are shown. What Should I do? I used to use wicd but I had problems to connect to free wifi :S I don' t know why.

However now I'm connected from terminal, but I don't know why connections aren't shown in network manager..

Sameone can help me? Thank you.

EDIT: Now is showing but network manager gives me this error: enter image

EDIT2:

My /etc/network/interfaces

auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

[ubuntu] Network manager does not show my wireless connection

I recently bought a Compaq Presario Laptop, Model CQ60-211DX, that came with wireless B+G networking. The laptop came preloaded with Vista and I was able to connect to my wireless router with no problem. However, when I installed Ubuntu 8.10 and went to the Network Manager it could not find any wireless connections. I am wondering if the driver for the wireless is not supported or if I am doing something wrong. I had to switch back to Vista for the wireless connection but would love to figure out how to fix my wireless connection in Ubuntu so I can switch back. Any help would be great.
[ubuntu] Network Manager doesnt detect wireless network?
Unix
I tried adding the network manually but no luck. I have an HP L2000 and I'm running 9.04, wired connection works just fine, that's how I'm able to post, but I can't get the wifi working.
I've read through some other threads, but nothing really seemed relevant. I'm assuming it's not detecting my wireless card, and I'm not sure what driver I'd need to be able to fix that. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it
**resolved** this can be deleted. Just had to get it through System>Administration>Hardware Drivers
