I need configuration keepalived which allows:

  1. Using only two RealServers/Hosts, without separated Director.
  2. On each server running VRRP and settings VIP for master.
  3. If all servers is alive on master(First) running load-balancer, which runs in RR mode and pass 50% traffic to Second server
  4. If master server down, Second server becomes NEW master (the king is dead, long live the king)
  5. When First server becomes alive, on master(currently Second server) start running load-balance

How I understand situation by myself, I should create one vrrp_instance on each server to sharing VIP, and add virtual_server configuration on master (dynamically).

What I must do additionally in system? Which kernel params should I pass to sysctl-config?

EDIT: my keepalived.conf

vrrp_instance VI_1 {

    }
    virtual_ipaddress {

    }
}

virtual_server  172.20.1.111/24 9999{

    lb_algo rr

        TCP_CHECK {
          connect_timeout 5
          connect_port 9988

Hi, i am trying to configure two Ubuntu servers as failover load-balancers using haproxy and keepalived, I've not done anything with haproxy yet, concentrating on the ip-failover configuration in keepalived. i have what appears to me to be the right configuration, with one external interface (also h

I am looking for a good solution for our first failover (pref with load balancing) setup. Basically, at the moment we have several servers at different locations (data centers) and I would like to make use

I need to load balance a number of SQUID proxies configured in transparent mode. Below is a simple diagram with one LB and SQUID boxes.

Laptops are convenient devices. Their mobility allows you to take them anywhere. What is also important is their ability to be a resource for Wi-Fi (wireless) operations. That means that the laptop can act as an access point, where it is possible to have a wireless connection for other users. Anothe
