Hoping someone can help, I have a system running mythbuntu 14.04 and
the control center seems to be broken. I'm wanting to add a front end
to the system so I need to enable master backend role. But when i try,
I'm able to change it to enabled then I hit apply and it asks for my

I have recently done a fresh installation of Intrepid Ibex
and added MythTV to the system. My system uses a Hauppauge Nova-T 500
card, with a remote control.

I have just installed Mythbuntu on a ASROCk Z77 with an
Intel i3. Mythbuntu is ver 12.04. I have a FusionHDTV7 and a DVBSKY
dual express S2 installed. Right now I am working on the FusionHDTV7.
I an new at this and learning on the way, but I would like to get

I upgraded to 9.10 and everything is working for the most part except
when I try to launch Mythbuntu Control Center. Nothing happens after
I click on it. I reinstalled it from synampic but no change. Not
sure what it is unhappy about.

Starting Mythbuntu Control Center from System/Administration menu or
from the command line generates a Python segfault. The Control Center
is visible for an instant and then disappears. I am running 8.04
(Hardy) Kernal 2.6.24-26. System is an Athlon 64 X2 with 2Gb DDR RAM.

The Mythbuntu Control Center wants to reconfigure my LIRC settings, as
root. Since I use a homebrew serial receiver, I really don't want it
to. However, there is no apparent way for me to change its mind.
Since the only way to enable the mythtv repository is through the
MCC (as of 12.04), I a

My MCC will not work even if I start it out of the
mythfrontend nor manual. Screenshot is attached.

I have managed to delete MCC by accident
attempting to get LIRC to work and i got up to the IRW part, but then
MCC wouldn't launch
so after some goggling I found that this will
output the errors:

When starting the control center it tells me that the Mirobridge
Plugin and the Repositories Plugin have been disabled.
