I am trying to show the progress of file upload thru jQuery. File
upload works fine. But progress bar appears after the file is
uploaded. That is pregress bar shown in 100%. But when i 'alert' i can
see the progress bar.
any idea why progress bar is not
shown with below sample ?
My webpage takes anywhere from .5sec - 3 seconds to load
completely. I was just wondering if there was a way to have an
overlay to show in till the page was loaded. When the page finished
loading, I would want this overlay to hide. Something like a
progress bar or a .gif. I'm using the razor engine in MVC3.

want it so that when they've clicked the deactivate my account link
which opens up in an iframe to refresh the entire browser or refresh
the parent page so that the site recognises they are no longer logged

I'm using JQuery and I am trying to find a means of replacing the
entire page with the contents of an ajax load. I've found answers that
suggest how to do it from the loading page, but I would like to do it
from the loaded page if possible.

uses a lot of ajax calls. The problem is if the user is at such a page
and wanders off for long enough that the session timeout is triggered,
then the app invalidates the session and the next time the user
interacts with the displayed page the system returns the home page
asking them to log in again. Of course - the home page appears
embedded in whatever page they were last looking at rather than

I have a simple php code which prints data from a SQLite
database. Basically $query ="Select A from B". This all
works fine. & when the sqlite db updates, i can refresh the page
& the new data displays.
