How can I change the first screen that appears in an iOS App. I need to change background colour/image and Table colours

Hi I'm fairly new to xCode/programming and am working on a basic app. I need to change the look of the startup screen, which I think needs some programming to achieve.

At the moment it has the default grey/white background with white table tabs and it needs to have an orange/light orange colour scheme - I can't post images (new user restriction ouch!).

How to change IOS badge notification colour from default Red to other colours?
Programming Languages

The default APNS allows a number (badge) to appear in Red background on top of our app icon to state that there is a new notification.

Is there a way to change the Red colour background to any other colours based on the backend server output?

Change Table View Index Background Colour
Programming Languages

I have a table view with an Index. When a user runs their finger over the index column by default it is selected with a grey semi transparent background (see contact application for example). How can I change this background colour? Or alternatively can I simply prevent the background colour from displaying at all?

Is it also possible to change the text colour of the letters in the index?

Any help much appreciated :)

CSS: Change background image and text colour when hovering on an image link
Programming Languages

Hi. Really hoping someone can help me with this... I'll try and explain this as best I can(!)
Basically I've got a page containing a block of 9 images, with each linking to a video clip. At the moment I've got the CSS coded so that whenever the mouse is hovered over the 'infobar' (at the bottom of each image) it goes from having a transparent background with black text to having a grey background with white text.
What I'm trying to achieve is that same effect whenever the mouse is hovered over any part of the image and infobar. The live online link can be found at:
