IE is behaving differently when the web app is hosted on IIS 6, comapred to IIS 7 & Cassini

I have a web app that works fine from all browsers (IE9, Firefox, Chrome, Opera & Safari) on my development machine . When I deploy the web app to a test server, IE will start to choke on a particular javascript component (Zoomify).

I can have IE 9 open with the dev hosted web app in one tab and the test server web app in another tab and only the dev hosted app will work. The web app code is exactly the same on both machines, except for the web.config.

The Developer Tools show both sites as being in Browser Mode: IE9 Document Mode: IE9 standards.

The Zoomify component is failing on the following line:

Error accessing web service through SSL from IIS-hosted application

This has been bothering me for three days now and after tons of googling around I decided to post a question. I have a WCF service application ("local service") that connects to a "remote web service" (Java) securely (2-way certificate authentication).

My service-side config:

<binding name="IhAdapterPortBinding" closeTimeout="00:01:00"
openTimeout="00:01:00" receiveTimeout="00:10:00" sendTimeout="00:01:00"
allowCookies="false" bypassProxyOnLocal="false" hostNameComparisonMode="StrongWildcard"

How do you list all the web sites (not applications) being hosted by an IIS server?
Programming Languages

I'm using IIS 6 on Windows Server 2003. The vision is to create a directory of those applications, showing their urls (ports on Server) and names.

Since installing XP SP2 I can no longer access my IIS hosted web pages
Programming Languages

I had a base Windows XP with IIS hosting some websites and it has been working for years, yesturday I upgraded to SP2 (which includes the security suit) because I needed .NET 3.5 and since then no one can access the web pages anymore.

When I connect to the macine locally and try to access the webpage it prompted me for a username / password - when I entered it I was able to access the page locally.

However, remotely I always get "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"...
Anyone know what I need to do so that we can access the pages again?

Static variables in IIS-hosted web applications
Programming Languages

If I declare a static field in a type instantiated within an ASP.NET application, hosted within IIS, is the same variable (i.e. same memory location) used by all of the worker threads used by IIS, opening up concurrency issues?
