I have a UISwtch embedded in a UITableViewCell defined in a XIB file. How can I respond to a change to the switch state?
Mobile Programming

I built the cell with Interface Builder. I load the cells like this:

UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:cellID];
if (cell == nil) {
[[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"MassCircleNGTableCell" owner: self options: nil];
cell = circleNGCell;
self.circleNGCell = nil;
}
UISwitch *s = (UISwitch*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag: 20];
UILabel *label = (UILabel*)[cell.contentView viewWithTag:19];
label.text = @"some useful text";

And that part works, I get my table with custom cells. But, although I can set the initial state, I don't know how to res

Change UITableViewCell Height on Orientation Change
Mobile Programming

I have a UITableView with cells containing variable-height UILabels. I am able to calculate the minimum height the label needs to be using sizeWithFont:constrainedToSize:lineBreakMode:, which works fine when the table view is first loaded. When I rotate the table view the cells become wider (meaning there are fewer lines required to display the content). Is there any way I can have the height of the cells redetermined by the UITableView during the orientation change animation or immediately before or after? Thank you.

Custom UITableViewCell corners distorted on orientation change (UACellBackgroundView)
Mobile Programming

I'm trying out this nice way of customizing grouped UITableViewCell backgrounds:

http://code.coneybeare.net/how-to-make-custom-drawn-gradient-backgrounds

I've implemented it in a test app and it works great, except for one thing... when rotating the device, the cell background is stretched, making the corners look distorted.

Is there any way to force a table cell to redraw itself on an orientation change? Do I need to use setNeedsDisplay somewhere?

(I've tried [cell.backgroundView setNeedsDisplay] in a couple of places just as a random guess... but that didn't work.)

Handle orientation change on iPad with one UIViewController and two XIB
Mobile Programming

i'd like to handle orientation change on an iPad application with one UIViewController and two XIBs, let's say MenuView and MenuViewLandscape.

So, in the willRotateToInterfaceOrientation method of the MenuViewController, how can i change XIB without using another controller for the landscape mode ?

I'm using the following code:

if( toInterfaceOrientation != UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait ){
MenuViewController *landscape = [[MenuViewController alloc]
initWithNibName: @"MenuViewLandscape"
bundle:nil
