Error deploying with heroku
Web Design

My app works without a problem on my localhost but I can't get it to deploy correctly with heroku. I have read through all the other questions about this here and tried many ways to resolve it but have not managed yet.

I have copied my heroku log below as I cannot work out how to solve this.

Deploying on Heroku with Capistrano?
Web Design

I'm still getting used to the Rails development ecosystem. Recently I learned how to use capistrano for deploying to my servers using apache and passenger, and I love how I can put a rather complex set of deployment instructions into my deploy.rb so that they are executed with a single "cap deploy" call, with an automatic rollback if anything goes wrong.

Now I'm looking into deploying my project on Heroku, and I expected to be able to use capistrano for my deployments there. But I've been unable to find any documentation on how to do this. Is it possible? Are there capistrano tasks that let me automate deployments on Heroku?

Does this even make sens

Deploying play! to heroku
Web Design

I'm following this tutorial on how to deploy my play! app to heroku. I haven't used git, foreman, or heroku before. When I get to the part that says to enter

gem install foreman
foreman start

I'm rather confused. First of all, gem isn't a recognized command and I have no idea what it is. I have a Foreman directory that heroku installed for me in Program Files. What is Foreman even necessary for here? Is it what runs the Procfile I created earlier in the tutorial?

Also, if I just skip this part of the tutorial and go on, when I get to the git push, when I enter the command:

git push h
Deploying PythonDjango on Heroku
Web Design

I am trying to host a PythonDjango app on Heroku. Was following the steps in Getting Started with Django on Heroku/Cedar on my windows 7 machine. When I tried deploying to heroku the sample app and ran this command,

heroku create --stack cedar

I get the error,

$ heroku create --stack cedar
/usr/bin/env: ruby: No such file or directory

I am not using ruby, not sure why I am getting this error. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Trouble re(deploying) to heroku

I had trouble re-deploying the sample app from Hartls book:

So then I logged into Heroku, deleted the app and created another...
