Does anyone know what “expected SCALAR, SEQUENCE-START, MAPPING-START, or ALIAS” means?

Could anyone point me in the right direction, as when I save a
small serialized hash via file upload to the database it works just
fine, however when a large file comes along it errors out with;

ALIAS

Im running Ruby 1.9.3po and rails 3.2.3,
sQlite3. Database column is TEXT type with default limit. Using
serialize, :db_column, Hash to save it correctly as a
hash to the db.

I can't find anything decisive on google.
Could it be something to do with how the database column is
configured? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

When I compile following java code it throws illegal start of
type
& class, interface or enum expected
errors.

Inside Percolation class in following code, a
WeightedQuickUnionUF data type belonging to another class is declared.
WeightedQuickUnionUF class is stored in a jar file named "algs4.jar"
inside current working directory.

I have checked code
several times but can't find out the flaw and completely stuck.

The code is as follows:

public static Percolation(int n){

I wrote a simple server in C and would like to have the same
functionality calling it as other C daemons (such as calling it with
./ftpd start and closing that instance with ./ftpd stop). Obviously
the problem I'm having is that I do not know how to grab the current
instance of the running program. I can parse the options just fine
(using getopt / optarg) but at the moment, ./my-program stop just
starts a new instance vs. calling ./my-program start which starts it
up fine.

The reason I want to do this is because another
program will be signaling my server to stop, so a call like
./my-program stop is very simple, which can then stop the server loops
and close all the op

I'm trying to create a release script that can be deployed on
multiple databases, but where the data can be merged back together at
a later date. The obvious way to handle this is to set the sequence
numbers for production data sufficiently high in subsequent
deployments to prevent collisions.

The problem is in
coming up with a release script that will accept the environment
number and set the "Start With" value of the sequences appropriately.
Ideally, I'd like to use something like this:

ACCEPT
EnvironNum PROMPT 'Enter the Environment Number: '
--[more

CREATE SEQUENCE seq1 START WITH
&EnvironNum*100000;

Using WITH OVER or by using other method, how to start new

E.g. how to get following ouput (I am talking
about RowNum column in expected output)?

Table:

Expected ouput:

I have written a 3D-Stereo OpenGL program in C++. I keep track of
the position objects in my display should have using timeGetTime after
a timeBeginPeriod(1). When I run the program with "Start Debugging"
my objects move smoothly across the display (as they should). When I
run the program with "Start without debugging" the objects
occationally freeze for several screen refreshes then jump to a new
position. Any ideas as to what may be causing this problem and how to
fix it?

Edit: It seems like the jerkiness can be resolved
after a short delay when I run through "Start without debugging" if I
click the mouse button. My application is a console application (I
