what is difference between Exception handling Application block & Exception handling

what is difference between Exception handling Application block
& Exception handling in regular dot net classes ? i don't think it
is beneficial to use of Exception handling Application block. What is
exact use of that block ??

I have ExceptionPolicy, that catching all System.Exceptions. Now I
have issue, how can I change that policy, to not catch
FaultExceptions?

Thanks

what are the disadvantages of not using exception handling
application block or any other unified exception handling library. The
only thing I can think of is that code will end up with different type
of Try/Catch all over the place depending upon the developer. How can
lack of planning in this regard, cause real world problems down the
line?

Using .NET 3.5, ASP.NET, Enterprise Library 4.1 Exception Handling
and Logging blocks, I wrote a custom exception handler to display a
standard error page, as follows:

/>[ConfigurationElementType(typeof(CustomHandlerData))] />public class PageExceptionHandler : IExceptionHandler {

public PageExceptionHandler(NameValueCollection ignore) {

}
public Exception HandleException(Exception ex, Guid
handlingInstanceID) {
HttpResponse response =
HttpContext.Current.Response;
response.Clear();

response.ContentEncoding = Encoding.UTF8;

response.ContentType = "text/html";

This question is about a C++ library for Windows and we use Visual
C++ as our compiler.

We enable exception handling compiler
option in our library. We also use throw/catch in a few places.

One of our customers says that they disable exception
handling option in their application. Now the question is, whether
they would experience any problems if they use our library with their
application.

Thanks in Advance

I am using Enterprise Library Exception Handling Application Block.
I have created a Policy, an Exception and a Custom Handler. Should my
custom handler handle specific exception or system exception or
both?
