Opinion: Could an Apple iTV really succeed? (Digital Trends)
by cmdrdredd in Web Design

Digital Trends - I’m kind of fascinated with the coverage of Steve Jobs’ passing. I’ll watch knowledgeable people argue that Steve was unique, crazy smart, and connected to every part of Apple including the invention of its most successful products: the iPod, iPad, and iPhone. These
Opinion: Ultrabook first impressions: Thin is in, and finally practical (Digital Trends)
by DCal430 in Web Design

Digital Trends - I got my first Ultrabook in yesterday – an Asus Zenbook UX21E-DH71 (don’t get me started on naming). This is the 11.6-inch Intel Core i7 version, and Asus is putting itself on the map with two screen sizes (adding a 13.3-inch), two processors (the i5 and i7), and two
Opinion: Will Windows on ARM challenge the iPad where Android has failed? (Digital Trends)
by Tom Arleth in Web Design

Digital Trends - WOA sounds like what you might tell a horse when you want it to stop, but it’s also the working acronym for Windows on ARM, which Microsoft’s Steven Sinofsky recently detailed in a revealing blog post. I’m clearly going to have some fun with the acronym, but the new

Digital Trends - By its very nature, the first year in a new decade sets the tone for that decade. Last decade, the first year seemed to showcase a strengthening Apple, though it was still short of the first iPad.It also showcased the beginning of Steve Ballmer’s run at Microsoft and th

Digital Trends - On paper, the Droid Razr is the first phone that has come out, that I can recall, on top of an iPhone launch that is more advanced in nearly every way. It is thinner, it is lighter, faster, has longer battery life, and it is a 4G rather than a 3G phone. Based on specs alo

by New Jersey in Web Design

Digital Trends - This last week has been fascinating. Both Apple and Microsoft introduced their new operating system for PCs. Interestingly, folks are raving about Windows 8 and ranting at OS X Mountain Lion. Both products are far from final and, of the two, Mountain Lion has far fewer ch

Digital Trends - Early today, Tampa-based startup Unthink launched its new social network, which describes itself as the “anti-Facebook.” Complete with deeds and manifestos of its philosophies and guidelines, Unthink promises to never sell your personal data for financial gain, to not
Opinion: Amazon burns up Apple’s iPad model with the Kindle Fire (Digital Trends)
by Trevor Dickson in Web Design

Digital Trends - The iPad is actually the first PC-like product that Apple has aggressively priced since Steve Jobs turned Apple around. Why? It’ssubsidized by royalties and fees from accessories, media, and applications that surround it, allowing Apple to both provide an attractively p
Opinion: Ultrathin laptop wars: Sony Vaio Z and Lenovo Ultrabooks vs. Apple MacBooks (Digital Trends)
by golazo in Web Design

Digital Trends - Apple casts a bigger footprint in PCs than its approximate 5-percent market share suggests. This is because it is the most profitable of the computer companies, and the most highly valued. Even without market share, those positions are highly envied by Apple’s competito
