Hello If I have 5 methods, But 4 of them can only run once one has been run and returned true, Whats the best OOP approach for this. I have this working solution, But I dont know if its what the professionals would do.class oop{ var $status; function main() {     $this->status = true; } function subone() { if($this->status =='true') {    other stuff here etc } } function

compile the BLAH class code below in a Release mode project, it will not
include the "Message" method. However, lets say that I have another method
that CALLS this method, like the foobar class. Wont the compiler bomb? Or
would its "CallTheOtherMethod" method just not exist either?
Thanks in advance.

conditional implementations of methods

ok.. think of objectA.. objectA has optional properties defined in its protocol. the delegate may or may not implement these, but if you do decide to implement them, you must provide a valid return.

now what if i have objectA.delegate set to objectB but object be needs to implement them all at compile time, and at runtime will decide which ones it may or may not support.
The problem in implementing them all as stubs means that the objectA will simply use 'respondsToSelector' to see if the delegate is trying to use optional properties, and if so it will assume they are valid and use them.

Since objectB(delegate) has to decide conditionally whic
