AngularJS: Is ng-click “a good practice”? Why is there no ng-{event} in AngularJS?
by dante in Programming Languages

I just started to learn AngularJS and struggle with some concepts of AngularJS. It would be great if somebody could explain me some points...

I understand that ng-click is technically not the same as onclick (see here), but both are placed in the markup. I thought that would be a "bad practice"? Why is this one of the core concepts of AngularJS, if most peo

How to run AngularJS example
by lwl_seu in Programming Languages

I've done as described here: http://docs.angularjs.org/tutorial/step_00 but can't run the phonecat example as AngularJS. It runs like a bunch of html files. For example, the app/index-async.html page gives me following error in Chrome's console:

Uncaught Error: No module: myApp

This file contains

Is AngularJS really MVC?
by Dittmar in Web Design

I'm looking through examples on the AngularJS home page — specifically “Add Some Control”. I don’t quite understand how it maps to MVC pattern.

It’s more or less clear that the template (index.html) can be thought of as the view, objects constructed by TodoCtrl from todo.js as the controller, but where is a model? Attributes like ng-model map to some internal

Redirect using AngularJS
by jasonmoo in Web Design

I'm trying to redirect to another route using

$location.path("/route");

But for some reason it is not working. I did an autocomplete widget using jquery-ui and I'm calling a function from the scope once the user selects an option. I debugged it and it enters the function but it is never redirected to the other route. It only changes the route when I press a k

how to master AngularJS?
by Indonesia in Programming Languages

I'm pretty new to AngularJS and I find it a bit awkward. the easy stuff is very easy, but the advanced things are significantly harder (directives, provider/service/factory..)

The documentation isn't very helpful for someone who's just starting to learn those things; and I find myself constantly searching for directives for things I need instead of writing my own.

I trie

I don't know how to "include" partials on templates. For example, I've an template "index". The question is, it's the correcly way to use of AngularJS? Similar to

How to do paging in AngularJS?
by mdiezb in Programming Languages

I have a dataset of about 1000 items in-memory and am attempting to create a pager for
this dataset, but I'm unsure how to do this.

I'm using a custom filter function to filter the results, and that works fine, but somehow I need to get the number of pages out.

Any clues?
