How to Mod an F1 Challenge
by Twista in Hobbies, Games & Toys
"F1 Challenge '99-'02" is a PC racing game based on the four seasons of Formula One racing between 1999 and 2002. It was a cutting-edge racing simulator for its time and remains popular today due to the number of user-built modifications that add new tracks, new cars and new racing series to an already extensive game. The modifications include previous Formula 1 seasons, the European Touring Car C

I created a somewhat self-explanatory jsfiddle of the problem at http://jsfiddle.net/MrV5M/4/

The specific problem:

On Chrome, the right border of the input box is cut off.
On Safari, the width of the content class cell exceeds the container so it spills over the border.

Long story short, I'm working with a library with a bug that causes a crash if I use a regex that has a caret after a bracket (for example, the regex [^a]). Thus, I need to express the following two regexes without using the caret

PHP's crypt challenge
by Ryan in Development Tools & Services

A friend gave me a challenge: he encrypted a string using PHP's crypt function (CRYPT_STD_DES) (from PHP4). I know the salt used to encrypt, and as crypt is a one-way algorithm I must use brute-force method, and I know that passwords only consist of lower-case letters.

Now, I have machine with 16 cores (2x Xeon), and lots of RAM. What is most efficient way to implement this force at
