AWT EventQueue NullPointerException
by Jorgemr in Programming Languages

I have a signed applet which writes text files to a specified directory in a client workstation.

When I load the applet in a web browser for the first time, there was no problem. It manages to load in the browser and writes data to a text file. But when I continue to load it again, it just won't load. All I see is the Java loading image. Even after waiting for 10 minutes, the applet

How to replace the AWT EventQueue with own implementation
by TheStu in Programming Languages

In order to debug strange behavior in a Swing-application I'd like to replace the AWT EventQueue with my own implementation.

Is this possible? How?

Just in case you are interested:

the implementation will be a simple wrapper around the normal Eventqueue, doing some logging.

the problem I'd like to debug is a TableCellEditor, which works fine in a

How to create Swing OSGi bundles on AWT EventQueue with Spring DM
by RandomWords in Programming Languages

I have an OSGi target platform consisting of Equinox, the Spring Framework, Spring DM, and several custom bundles for my application. All of my bundles contain Spring application contexts and so are automatically loaded by the Spring OSGi extender.

Some of my bundles contain Swing ui components. The problem is that the Spring OSGi Extender does not create these application contexts

AWT-EventQueue-0 is running all the time and program become very slow in java
by niswilsonnissen in Java

I am writing an gui. In that gui, there are lots of shapes ( around 200 ). I used paint method to draw them.

In one situation, I have to make them blink (switching between two color). In a for loop I am changing their colors and then fram.repaint();

However, When I clicked some buttons, after a while program becomes very slow. I checked via Profile (I am using Netbeans).
