I NetBeans, can I somehow store the RSA key fingerprint of the remote server or not have NetBeans confirm the key before taking action?
by AJ. in Programming Languages
I'm currently using NetBeans 6.9 with the PHP plugin and a PHP

download with it, I'm prompted with a warning that reads:
authenticity of host x can't be established. RSA key fingerprint is y. Are
you sure you want to continue connecting?
I'm connecting to my
own server, so yes, I always trust i

How do I make a NetBeans 7.1 tutorial work with NetBeans 7.2 with the new wizard for New File Type
by Scott Walsh in Programming Languages
The title is a bit long, but the description of the problem is quite
easy to understand.
I have NetBeans 7.2 and I am following a
tutorial that is intended for NetBeans 7.1 . The tutorial shows how to add
Language Support to highlight custom Syntax.
The problem is that NetBeans 7.1's "New File Type"

I am working on a netbeans application with a primary TopComponent

when I close the application

a process running after the application closes. I have researched some and

haven't seen any solutions.
Netbeans autocomplete unusably slow/nonfunctional in Netbeans 6.8 Latest
by okhomenko in Programming Languages
I'm running a 2.5Ghz C2D with 4GB RAM, so there's no reason hardwre-wise
why Netbeans should be peforming so poorly. Using the latest Netbeans
release and grails plugin (installed via the plugin manager), automcomplete
is either too slow to use or doesn't work at all.
If I'm within
a class, and I attempt to auto-complete a field, it takes 3-4 seconds
before being able to finish the

Recently I've installed Netbeans 7.2 and it seems that local history
doesn't remember single file, not associated with NB project. Before I was

it was part of the NB project or not.

Netbeans building GUI; how do I disable Netbeans from disallowing me to edit text?
by Mcad in Programming Languages
I find it annoying that Netbeans tries to disable editing the source
code whenever I use the GUI builder utility. I have searched in Google but
could not find an answer:
How do I disable Netbeans from
disallowing me to edit my source code? Is this a bug because whenever I
right click the .java file, I am able to edit again.
Netbeans - *Easy* way to tell which Netbeans project a file belongs to

I was wondering if there is a way in Netbeans (v 6.8, or whatever) to
have the editor tabs colored based on which project the file belongs to?
Or some other easy way to distinguish which project a file belongs to.
Basically my problem is that I have 3-4 netbeans projects,
which all have a very similar code base (production version, staging
