ie8 bug: fixed position div, inside relative position div, inside relative position floated div … doesnt render
by tonix in Web Design
This HTML doesn't render right in IE8. It works in Firefox, Opera, IE7,
IE9 and IE10. (Of course, it doesn't work in IE6 either because it
concerns a fixed-position element.)
Actually it does something
different again in Chrome.
The narrowest test-case I could come
up with is:

Calculate a text-position inside a div element into the according position in HTML with Python
by Zack Harvey in Programming Languages
I need to find a way on calculating the position (that means the index
of the character position) of text located in a div-element into the
according position of HTML-Code. This is necessary because I must be able
to insert an element at the position without losing the formatting.
For example I have the following:

I am using MySQL, I don't have a good way to do this.
have a table with a position

Let's say I insert a record
in the middle at 5000th position. So position 5000 to 10,000 need to be
updated to the new position; old 5000 become 5001, 5002 becomes 5003...
Is there a good way

I am using Position Absolute's Validation Engine for validating values
The issue is that on validation, the error prompts do
not appear attached to the textboxes (input type:text) as they are
expected. I know that the issue is with the margin-top that I have given to
the textboxes but I cannot change that. Sample code snippet is provided
