Debugger stops working and stops showing active processes
Category : Programming Languages

I am trying to debug a web app, and am having some rather odd issues with VS. First thing I do is attach to the w3wp process and set break points in code that DOES execute. The thing is, none of the break points are hit. Thinking that I must have done something wrong, I stopped the debugger and when I went to reattach, only 6 of my 54 processes are shown and none of them are w3wp (and yes I

IIS 7.5 stops sending response (times out, or stops in middle of reply)
Category : Programming Languages

We have IIS 7.5 running locally on dev machines - win7. We're experiencing occasional hangs on IIS requests - both for web applications, and on asmx services (two completely different solutions. There could be others, but this is what we have for now).

Troubleshooting (done on asmx service, SOAP, binary serialization):

gdb stops with too many watchpoints when there is only one
Category : Programming Languages

Do you know any other reasons why a watchpoint could not be inserted other than too many hardware breakpoints/watchpoints?

I have the following debug session:

GNU gdb (GDB) 7.1
(gdb) watch itrap_t_beg[1][222]
Hardware watchpoint 1: itrap_t_beg[1][222]
(gdb) cont
Hardware watchpoint 1: itrap_t_beg[1][222]

memory_limit = 512M
post_max_size = 192M
upload_max_filesize = 192M

These settings cannot be overwritten by the loc
