Integrate or link to a SQL Server Management Studio Project from with a Visual Studio Solution
by Tim Watson in Programming Languages
While most of the work for my .NET projects is done in Visual Studio, I
prefer to work in SQL Server Management Studio [SSMS] (I'm currently using
the 2005 version) when editing stored procedures and doing other DB-related
tasks for a project.
I used to just open a ton of query
Windows, commit my
alters, and move on, but I recently

I can't download SQL Management Studio on my laptop, so I gave up
trying. I already have my database (got it from elsewhere) and I cannot
connect it to my Visual Studio. It keeps giving me this error...

Connecting to database on web host in Visual Studio or Sql Server Management Studio

I have a web site developed locally with a local Sql Server database. I
also have a web host that provides one Sql Server database for my site. Now
I want to deploy the application, and I would like to be able to manage the
remote database from the Server Explorer in Visual Studio. I have the

Installing XNA Game Studio in Visual Studio 2010
by amelim in Programming Languages
So I'd like to try out XNA Game Studio, but although the last stable
version seems to be 3.1 (I am not sure about this), it's asking me for
Visual Studio Express 2008 (I'm using a full Visual Studio 2010).
How to solve this issue? Must I install the XNA's 4.0 beta? I can't
find a place to download it.

HTML table tag with col, colgroup, tbody, and thead throws compile error in Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2012

I have a .NET 3.5 web site with a table tag that contains col, colgroup,
tbody and thead tags. This is a server side tag with the runat="server"
attribute. This table was working fine in Visual Studio 2010, but after I
installed Visual Studio 2012 and .NET 4.5, this tag now fails to compile in
Visual Studio 2010 and in Visual Studio 2012. (I tried both.) Here are
