Is there a way to combine Server Binding and Ajax Binding to eliminate the extra request made in Ajax Binding on a Kendo grid?
by google-app-engine in Web Design

By default the Kendo Grid for ASP.NET MVC will perform server side requests and load the page and grid on a single request. However, when configured for ajax binding the Kendo Grid for ASP.NET MVC will make ajax requests after the page is loaded which requires one extra request (one for the page and one extra for the data used by the grid). Is there a way to combine server binding and ajax bind

Property is not defined when using if binding referring to $root inside with binding in Knockout
by iamwiz82 in Web Design

I'm pretty sure I'm missing something as far as context, but I just can't figure out what.

I have the following ViewModel:

var ViewModel = function(){
var self = this;
self.person = ko.observable();
self.isPerson = ko.observable();
self.isPerson('firstName' in value);

Binding errors While Binding null values to Width and Height of the wpf control
by Janne Lammi in Programming Languages

Our project needs that we bind many properties of the control such as Height, Width, MinHeight, Row, Column, rowspan... etc. While doing so we observed binding errors to when these values are null which we will be getting from DB.

Flex: Binding to an MXML-esque “binding string” in action script?
by Kocur in Programming Languages

Extending a solution for simple binding to a 'Text property to multiple Controls to handle binding to any Type?
by Jesper in Programming Languages

My question is : how to move beyond writing a custom implementation of a technique for databinding multiple controls (controls without built-in DataSource properties), for each possible type of data, to simple properties ... as described and demonstrated in code that follows ... to achieve a more poweful solution that will be independent of whether the binding is to a string, or an int, or othe
