Complex ListView example with complex data and complex layout of each row?
by Justin Bowers in Programming Languages

Im pulling a list of product objects from a database call and I want to build a ListView of the data in my activity with a non-scrolling header and footer. Each row will consist of a product thumbnail, some data and a button arranged horizontally. I understand that using the ListView I can inflate each row using a separate layout.

Most of the examples Ive seen using ListView just sh

Optimising calculation of complex powers of complex numbers in javascript for accuracy
by greggerz in Javascript

I've got this code which computes complex powers of complex numbers:

var ss = a.re*a.re + a.im*a.im;
var arg1 = math.arg(a);
var mag = Math.pow(ss,b.re/2) * Math.exp(-b.im*arg1);
var arg = b.re*arg1 + (b.im * Math.log(ss))/2;
return math.complex(mag*Math.cos(arg), mag*Math.sin(arg));

(complex numbers look like {re: 1, im: 1}, and math.arg

Organising complex webs of complex articles in large websites
by RockinZ28 in Programming Languages

My question relates to how large websites, edited by several hundred people who work in a large organisation (such as a News website) organise their web pages. What form of mechanism works in the background?

Does each article represent a row in a table on a database. If so, how are images and embedded videos incorporated.
Or is each page an individual web file with "include" tags

Problem with IDictionary<Complex Key, Complex Value>.Remove() implementation
by Tennessee in Programming Languages

Hi I don't understand why this code doesn't work - it don't remove key; I still get "2" on output.

Bencode.BencodeDict d = new myTorrent.Bencode.BencodeDict();
d.Dict.Add(new Bencode.BencodeString("info"), new Bencode.BencodeString("1"));
d.Dict.Add(new Bencode.BencodeString("info2"), new Bencode.BencodeString("2"));
d.Dict.Add(new Bencode.BencodeString("info3"), n

Creating complex infinity with std::complex<T> in C++
by dbrews in C & C++ & C#

I'm trying to create a complex infinity equal to Inf+Inf*j where j is the complex variable. When I do this :

complex<double>( numeric_limits<double>::infinity(),
numeric_limits<double>::infinity() );

cufft 1D complex to complex transform
by Granville Barnett in Programming Languages

I'm trying to write a simple code for fft 1d transform using cufft library.

I use as example the code on cufft library tutorial (link)but data before transformation and after the inverse transform arent't same. Why ?

this is output :

[1DCUFFT] starting...
[1DCUFFT] is starting...

How do I save an entity with NHibernate that is composed of other complex types, but I only have the ID of the other complex types
by aafr in Programming Languages

I'm working on my first NHibernate project, so this may seem to be a simple question.

The below is simplified from my real scenario to convey the specific question.

Lets say I have a Customer entity

public class Customer
{
prop virtual int ID { get; set; }
prop virtual string Name { get; set; }
prop virtual Region Region { g

In R, how can I read in complex(as in complex number) data using read.table
by Yannis Roussochatzakis in Web Design

I am fairly new to R. I have a datafile which has a matrix of complex numbers, each of the form 123+123i, when I try to read in the data in R, using read.table(), it returns strings, which is not what I want. Is there some way to read in a file of complex numbers?

One possible thing that I could do, since the program that generates the matrix is available to me, I can modify it to g

Scheme: find out if an “complex” element is in a “complex” list
by changke in Programming Languages

I'm using R5RS standart of Scheme implementation.

Now imagine you have to find out if an element '(2 3 4) is in a list '(1 2 3 4).

As for the example, and more strictly, you wish:

1. (is-in? '(2 3 4) '(1 2 3 4)) -> #f
2. (is-in? '(2 3 4) '(1 (2 3 4)) -> #t

Question: how to get that kind of behaviour, as in example 1?
