expected specific-qualifier-list before 'function' and expected '=', ',', ';', 'asm' or '__attribute__'
by Enar in Programming Languages

I am programming in Objective-C but I would like to write a c function to increase the performance. I have written the code below this post but the compile keeps coming back with the following error:

error: expected specific-qualifier-list before 'bool'

error: expected '=', ',', ';', 'asm' or 'attribute' before 'addToBoolArray'

Assert.AreEqual(expected, actual) for multiple expected values
by Francois in Programming Languages

How can I assert that a variable satisfies any one of two values in Visual Studio's unit testing environment?

I've seen other testing frameworks do it like this:

Assert.That(result.ViewName, Is.EqualTo("HomePage") | Is.Empty);

I'm not experienced with Visual Studio's unit testing environment.

JUnit expected tag not working as expected
by Super56K in Programming Languages

I have the following test case in eclipse, using JUnit 4 which is refusing to pass. What could be wrong?

@Test(expected = IllegalArgumentException.class)
public void testIAE() {
throw new IllegalArgumentException();

This exact testcase came about when trying to test my own code with the expected tag didn't work. I wanted to see if JUnit w

When Expected Inflation Rate Is Negative What Happens to the Expected Real Interest Rate?
by Douglas Stockwell in Business
In times when the economy has depressed wages and high unemployment, the expected inflation rate tends to be negative. This means the price of goods and services is not expected to rise and in fact, overall prices might decrease. A reason the prices of goods drop is because of an effort to get consumers to spend more money. The Federal Reserve also uses some of its powers to adjust the nominal int

expected , or ; before if
by Ionith in Programming Languages

I made a stupid mistake (forgot semicolon, too much Python lately), but got an interesting error message from gcc: "expected ',' or ';' before 'if'".

I know those error messages provide just an "upper bound" for possible source code, but I'd like to know if there is any construct in C such that "if" token really comes after ',' and not after ';'.
