by patrickcarver in Web Design

Div is not hiding via CSS after showing and hiding a div using jQuery
by Steve O. in Programming Languages

I have a little web app in which I show and hide DIVs a lot. Sometimes, however, I need to add a CSS class to that div that hides the div (using display:none rather than jQuery's hide() function) because I still need to know if the given div was initial shown on the screen. I typically use jQuery's addClass and removeClass accordingly.

They leave droppings, frighten guests and occasionally carry rabies. If your home has unscreened windows or other small openings, a nearby bat might fly in. If this happens to you, it is best to stay calm, as swatting at or c

How to Get a Shy Cat Out of Hiding
by cynix in Pets
Cats tend to get a bum rap as being less affectionate than their household-pet counterpart, the dog. The truth is, cats can be every bit as loving and attentive as dogs. From time to time, you will encounter the ever-elusive cat-in-hiding. Cats may hide for a variety of reasons, most of which can be attributed to a general fear for one reason or another.
