Intermittent SQL timeouts
by Timo in Databases

Since a few days ago, the SQL server (Microsoft SQL Server 2005) backing our site has started occasionally timeouting. It is happening at seemingly random times approximately every hour or two. It usually takes about 10 minutes during which we see hundreds of timeouted requests. Under normal circumstances, most of our queries take less than 50ms. A query which takes a significant fraction of a

ASP.NET Intermittent lag before Application_BeginRequest()
by Ionith in Development Tools & Services

I'm using ASP.NET MVC 2. When in Debug mode, there is a very consistent 5-10 second delay on every other request to the server before HttpApplication_BeginRequest() is hit in Global.asax

It happens exactly every other request. In Release mode it is fast always but it's causing me problems testing things in Debug mode. I looked at the call stack but the only thing before the HttpAppl

This technology allows for smaller, flat-screen monitors, as only a thin layer of liquid crystal is needed for light to bounce off. LCD monitors allow for high-definition graphics, which means you can get brighter colors and sharper contrast than you would using a regular monitor. Unfortunately, due to the na

What Are the Causes of Intermittent DSL Connectivity?
by ganok_tor in Internet
Digital server lines and cable are the two most common ways to receive fast Internet service. When DSL is working properly, the average download speed is about 5 Mb/s and upload is generally a little less than a quarter of that. Intermittent memory leaks
by Kumar Anand in Mobile Programming

I am testing a particular use case for leaks. Sometimes, I get the leaks and other times I don't even if I go through the same usecase. Can you suggest whether it is because of the system frameworks or my code?

I have checked in my code and everthing looks perfect without any unreleased objects. Can you suggest a solution?

Thanks
