In Delphi: How do I round a TDateTime to closest second, minute, five-minute etc?
by Stephen Judge in Coding

Does there exist a routine in Delphi that rounds a TDateTime value to the closest second, closest hour, closest 5-minute, closest half hour etc?

Gabr provided an answer. There were some small errors, possibly due to the complete lack of testing ;-)

I cleaned it up a bit and tested it, and here's the final(?) version:

How to Convert Liters Per Minute to Cubic Feet Per Minute
by jkjambo in Education
Flow rates measure the rate at which a substance passes through a point, such as the amount of water that passes through a dam on a river or the amount of water that passes through a water treatment plant. Flow rates are measured in units of volume per unit of time. Two examples of flow rates include liters per minute in the metric system and cubic feet per minute in the American system. Because i

.NET, event every minute (on the minute). Is a timer the best option?
by Tim Benninghoff in Programming Languages

I want to do stuff every minute on the minute (by the clock) in a windows forms app using c#. I'm just wondering whats the best way to go about it ?

I could use a timer and set its interval to 60000, but to get it to run on the minute, I would have to enable it on the minute precisely, not really viable.

I could use a timer and set its interval to 1000. Then within its t

How to Convert Feet Per Minute to Meters Per Minute

A foot is a U.S. unit of measurement of length, while a meter is the standard unit of measurement for length in the metric system. The metric system is based on multiples of 10, so a meter is made up of 100 centimeters and 1,000 millimeters. On the other hand, the U.S. system has varied units of measurements. It's helpful to know how to convert U.S. units to the metric system, especially if you fi

How to Convert Grams Per Minute to Gallons Per Minute
by saikoh in Hobbies, Games & Toys
The units grams per minute measure the mass flow rate. Such a rate indicates the amount of liquid that passes through, for example, a pipe in a unit of time. Another way to express the rate of flowing liquid is to use volume units. The international system employs cubic meters as a unit of volume while the United States customary system uses gallons for volume.Difficulty:Moderately EasyInstruction

How to Convert Feet Per Minute to Yards Per Minute
by Ken in Education
Speed, also called rate, depends on two measurements: the distance and the total time of travel. Both of these can be measured with a variety of units. Speed is a combination of two separate units, so either unit can be converted to another like unit, changing the numerical representation of the speed but not the actual rate. You can convert speed from feet per minute (fpm) to yards per minute (yd

Which Uses More Water: A Five-Minute Bath or a 10-Minute Shower?
by Wisconsin in Home & Garden
Next to flushing the toilet, showering and taking baths account for most of the 80 to 100 gallons of water per day used by the average American, according to statistics from the U.S. Geological Survey. To reduce water consumption, the public has been encouraged to replace baths with showers as a cost-and-energy saving alternative. However, considering the popularity of large, multiple shower heads
