AWS Lambda SQS integration: How to force concurrent lambdas

AWS Lambda SQS integration: How to force concurrent lambdas

wish helps you Currently I'm using an SQS queue to trigger the Lambda function. My Lambda function can only handle one SQS record at a time, and I want to deplete the SQS queue as fast as possible , Michael is right, as the document of AWS states

I wish did fix the issue. With regards to the initalisation of the member variables of an anonymous struct without a constructor you can do:
code :
void function() {
   type the_thing;
   struct {
      void operator()( ... ) {...}
      type & m_member;
   } callback = {the_thing};
   use_functor( callback );
}

I wish this helpful for you Your DAL looks like the classes which never change... In my opinion creating a UT or IT on them is a waste of time. You should cover class's behavior like Db4oProvider with a good Component/"large Integration"(not only the unit + DB) tests. I offer you to read about Test Pyramid(In Martin Fowler blog and this good article). I like the following pyramid:
code :
var fakeProvider = MockRepository.GenerateStub<IProvideDataAccess<Entity>>();

fakeProvider.Select(o => o.Id =="asdfg");

fakeProvider.AssertWasCalled(access => access.Select(Arg<Func<Entity, bool>>
            .Matches(func => func(new Entity()
            {
                Id = "asdfg"
            }))));
_selectResult = new List<Entity>();
fakeProvider.Stub(x => x.Select(Arg<Func<Entity, bool>>.Is.Anything))
            .Return(_selectResult);

Hope that helps findAny() takes no argument - so you typically use it on a stream that has a filter to check if there are any elements left after filtering. In your example, you would use:
code :
return event -> PREDEFINED_CODES.stream().filter(code -> isEventOfCode().test(event,code))
                                         .findAny().isPresent();
return event -> PREDEFINED_CODES.stream().anyMatch(code -> isEventOfCode().test(event,code));

like below fixes the issue If you consider an equally traffic two lambda functions with around same number of containers warmed, both lambda will take around equal amount of time to process. So, it actually depends on the traffic pattern of your lambda service. Say for example we consider both cases:

Does that help The best way to handle the concurrent limit is to use a Kinesis stream rather than SNS. The number of shards will limit the number of lambda invoked. And if it pertinent for you, you can take several messages at once, which you can't do with SNS, and that can lead to hit the concurrent limit.
