Does that help Displaying an image in base64 is rather simple: , Transfer the base64 into byte array and than write it to a png file.
code :
byte[] img = Base64.getDecoder().decode(imgBase64);
Files.write(Paths.get("my.png"), img); //As suggested by Joop Eggen

This might help you You have to use Javascript Filereader for this. (Introduction into filereader-api: http://www.html5rocks.com/en/tutorials/file/dndfiles/)
Once the user have choose a image you can read the file-path of the chosen image and place it into your html.
code :
<form id="form1" runat="server">
    <input type='file' id="imgInp" />
    <img id="blah" src="#" alt="your image" />
</form>
function readURL(input) {
    if (input.files && input.files[0]) {
        var reader = new FileReader();

        reader.onload = function (e) {
            $('#blah').attr('src', e.target.result);
        }

        reader.readAsDataURL(input.files[0]);
    }
}

$("#imgInp").change(function(){
    readURL(this);
});

I wish this helpful for you I am also not 100% sure i understand what you mean. but here is a 2 lines of codes, showing the simplest way of loading and saving an image into a picturebox.
code :
// 1. Load a picture into the picturebox
PictureBox pic = new PictureBox() { Image = Image.FromFile("SomeFile.jpg") };

// 2. Save it to a file again
pic.Image.Save("SomeFilePath.jpg", System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg);

will be helpful for those in need I am trying to edit a specific key inside an XML file. The problem is that after the file is saved, the '<' and '>' characters are transformed in coded characters (respectively: "& lt;" and "& gt;"). , I have modified the setNodeValue method. The relevant part follows:
code :
    public ModifyXmlFile setElementAttributeValue(String nodeXPath, String attributeName, String newAttributeValue) throws XPathExpressionException{

    try {
        XPath xPath = XPathFactory.newInstance().newXPath();
        Node node = (Node)xPath.evaluate(nodeXPath,  _doc, XPathConstants.NODE);
        node.getAttributes().getNamedItem(attributeName).setNodeValue(String.format(CONNECTION_STRINGS, newAttributeValue));
setElementAttributeValue("/configuration/connectionStrings/add",     "connectionString", "NEWVALUE" );

around this issue , Check This
code :
public JsonResult SavePhoto(string base64)
    {
        byte[] bytes = Convert.FromBase64String(base64);
        MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(bytes, 0, bytes.Length);
        ms.Write(bytes, 0, bytes.Length);
        Image image = Image.FromStream(ms, true);
        string filestoragename = Guid.NewGuid().ToString() + ".jpeg";
        string outputPath = HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath(@"~/Img/" + filestoragename);
        image.Save(outputPath, ImageFormat.Jpeg);
        return Json(new { status = true }, JsonRequestBehavior.DenyGet);

    }
using System.IO;
using System.Drawing;

it fixes the issue The problem was that the methods described in Federico Grandi's answer, don't work in version 11.1.0. (The function that processes the buffer gets undefined).
