seems to work fine you can try to use FlatList prop ListEmptyComponent, Rendered when the data is empty.

I hope this helps . Based on your trace output it looks like you are retrieving the wrong value from your dataProvider to set as the source. Without seeing your actual data, it's hard to know what the exact issue may be.
That said, I would re-work your itemRenderer a bit. First, you don't need to put a single image in an HBox. Just use an Image. Also, you should not need to specify the height in the Renderer, the DataGrid should take care of such positioning.
code :

<mx:Image xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
         >
    <mx:Script>

            import components.content.contents.containers.ContentContainerSoundCloud;
            import mx.core.Application;
            import mx.controls.dataGridClasses.DataGridColumn;
            import com.adobe.viewsource.ViewSource;

            [Bindable]
            public var imgPath:String;

            override public function set data(value:Object):void
                    {
                        super.data = value;

                        this.source =value.track["artwork-url"];
                        trace(imgPath)

                    }

    </mx:Script>

</mx:Image>

I hope this helps . Flex DataGroups use virtualization, meaning only visible items are rendered.

hope this fix your issue If you want counts by group, you need to use group_by and then tell summarize what summary information you want on the group (in your case, n()).
code :
bind_rows(Qualified, .id = "id") %>%
  mutate(stringency = ifelse(pos.score >= 23,
                             "Stringent", "Weak")) %>%
  group_by(id, stringency) %>%
  summarize(n = n())

#    id stringency     n
#  aksu  Stringent    25
#  aksu       Weak    11
# hotan  Stringent    38
# hotan       Weak     7
# korla  Stringent    50
# korla       Weak     2
df <- bind_rows(Qualified, .id = "id") %>%
  mutate(stringency = ifelse(pos.score >= 23,
                             "Stringent", "Weak"))

table(df$id, df$stringency)

#       Stringent Weak
# aksu         25   11
# hotan        38    7
# korla        50    2

Any of those help Declare a property on the class, set it on the list item click, and then use the same property to bind to the div that you want to display the data on.
code :
  <h4 mat-line (click)="setData(group)">{{group.imageUrl}}{{group.name}}

setData(group) {
  this.selectedGroup = group;
}
<div *ngIf="selectedGroup">
  {{ selectedGroup | json }}
