iOS Firebase Crashlytics: Out Of Memory (OOM) Reporting

I wish did fix the issue. So, Crashlytics answered in twitter that currently they don't support reporting OOM crashes. Also there is no information about plans for implementing this.

Firebase Crash Reporting vs. Crashlytics / Fabric

Firebase Crash Reporting vs. Crashlytics / Fabric

wish of those help My advice right now is to depend on Crashlytics for crash reporting until Firebase can further revise features. I've implemented both in some apps, and there are some advantages to Crashlytics. They send email notifications when crashes occur, including for priority changes, and crashes appear very quickly in the interface, within 5 minutes typically.
As it currently stands, Firebase doesn't have crash notifications, and it can take 20-40 minutes for a crash report to appear in the dashboard. A benefit of using Firebase's reporting is that their analytics will create an audience group of crash experiencing users, allowing you to identify and provide a different experience for those users (push notification, welcome screen, coupon code, etc)

I wish did fix the issue. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think have similar experience with you.
My old android application used Firebase Crash Reportings, but then I update my app to Firebase Crashlytics.

it should still fix some issue I am working on an iOS app that uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. I wonder what is the best way to report errors. Crashes are reported automatically, so probably I should log errors as events? I am talking about caught cases where for example the data from the server cannot be parsed and used for some reason, but the app does not crash, just doesn't work as expected. , I'm doing something like this in my project and it's working great:
code :
public protocol ErrorRecorder {
    func recordError(_ error: NSError, userInfo: [String: Any]?)
}

extension Crashlytics: ErrorRecorder {
    public func recordError(_ error: NSError, userInfo: [String: Any]?) {
        Crashlytics.sharedInstance().recordError(error, withAdditionalUserInfo: userInfo)
    }
}
Crashlytics is reporting to Fabric but no traces are available in Firebase Crashlytics

will be helpful for those in need . Please unlink your app from Firebase and then follow the linking flow. Be sure to leave in your Fabric ap

this one helps. On iOS, you don't have any options. There can be only one global signal handler for various types of crashes for the entire app. This means there can be only one crash reporting tool active for each of these types crashes for the app.
On Android, any piece of code can register an UncaughtExceptionHandler and add that to the chain of handlers for the app's process. It's a best practice to call through to the prior registered UncaughtExceptionHandler so that you don't disrupt exception handling for any other crash reporting tools. Bear in mind that your handler will receive crashes for all uncaught exceptions in the app (not just those that are caused by your library) which would be unhelpful without some smart filtering.
