can't get go daddy ssl certificate to work with spring boot

this will help I have solved the problem.
After fiddling A LOT with each certificate, I have found out that GoDaddy issues the certificate response and 2 equal intermediate certificates. Both come in the download package and there is no root certificate in there.

seems to work fine The easiest way to solve this problem is to convert the PFX file to JKS using the keytool (keytool.exe on Windows):
code :
keytool -importkeystore -srckeystore mypfxfile.pfx -srcstoretype pkcs12 -destkeystore newkeystore.jks -deststoretype JKS

Hope this helps The provided scope says that don't worry, these classes will exist at runtime, so there's no need to include them in the WAR.
Running in a full blown tomcat server, you can use provided since the classes (not in the WAR) are present. However running locally with embedded tomcat, it will fail because you said not to worry about the tomcat classes.

wish of those help The answer is that Spring Boot is simple, Spring itself not so much. My SecurityConfig class was not registered with the WAR. So in order to do this, in the same package as SecurityConfig I had to create 3 classes.
This:
code :
import org.springframework.security.web.context.*;

public class MessageSecurityWebApplicationInitializer
      extends AbstractSecurityWebApplicationInitializer {
}
@Configuration
@ComponentScan
public class RootConfiguration {
}
import org.springframework.web.servlet.support.AbstractAnnotationConfigDispatcherServletInitializer;

public class AppInitializer extends AbstractAnnotationConfigDispatcherServletInitializer {

    @Override
    protected Class<?>[] getRootConfigClasses() {
        return new Class[] { RootConfiguration.class };
    }

    @Override
    protected Class<?>[] getServletConfigClasses() {
        return null;
    }

    @Override
    protected String[] getServletMappings() {
        return new String[] { "/" };
    }
}

Kubernetes Secret TLS Certificate P12 and Spring Boot Deployment doesn't work

I think the issue was by ths following , This is my deployment.yaml, which uses p12 key and password stored in Kubernetes secrets, created just like in your example. Works OK for me to make SSL curl calls. I fetch the content of p12 key and password files mounted as READ ONLY volume. Hope it helps.
code :
apiVersion: extensions/v1beta1
kind: Deployment
metadata:
  name: deployment-name
spec:
  replicas: 3
  selector:
    matchLabels:
      app: app-name

  strategy:
    rollingUpdate:
      maxSurge: 1
      maxUnavailable: 1
    type: RollingUpdate
  minReadySeconds: 30

  template:
    metadata:
      labels:
        app: app-name
    spec:
      volumes:
        - name: application
          emptyDir: {}
        - name: secrets
          secret:
            secretName: key.p12

          volumeMounts:
            - name:      application
              mountPath: /app
            - name:      secrets
              mountPath: /api-p12-keys
              readOnly:  true

hope this fix your issue Do we need to bundle the intermediate and root certificate with our domain certificate and deploy it.( the certificate is in pfx format)
You should definitely configure the server to send all required intermediate certs; this is required by the TLS standards. (Although if you don't, clients have the option to try to obtain them by other means, like a cache or repository or AIA, and sometimes they do.) Whether the server sends the root is optional; the standards actually state this in reverse, by saying the server MAY omit the root, where the all-caps 'MAY' invokes the meaning defined in RFC 2119. E.g. for TLS1.2 in RFC5246 7.4.2:
code :
      This is a sequence (chain) of certificates. The sender's
      certificate MUST come first in the list. Each following
      certificate MUST directly certify the one preceding it. Because
      certificate validation requires that root keys be distributed
      independently, the self-signed certificate that specifies the root
      certificate authority MAY be omitted from the chain, under the
      assumption that the remote end must already possess it in order to
      validate it in any case.
