CheckedTextView set to checked oncreate in listview?

CheckedTextView set to checked oncreate in listview?

I wish did fix the issue. If you are going to use setChoiceMode(ListView.CHOICE_MODE_MULTIPLE);, you need to use the setSelection() method on ListView to indicate which get checked, not handle that yourself during row binding.

Does that help
Implement a SimpleCursorAdapter.ViewBinder.
code :
private final SimpleCursorAdapter.ViewBinder mViewBinder =
    new SimpleCursorAdapter.ViewBinder() {
        @Override
        public boolean setViewValue(
                final View view,
                final Cursor cursor,
                final int columnIndex) {
            final int latitudeColumnIndex =
                cursor.getColumnIndexOrThrow(
                        LocationDbAdapter.KEY_LATITUDE);
            final int addressStreet1ColumnIndex =
                cursor.getColumnIndexOrThrow(
                        LocationDbAdapter.KEY_ADDRESS_STREET1);

            if (columnIndex == latitudeColumnIndex) {

                final String text = formatCoordinates(cursor);
                ((TextView) view).setText(text);
                return true;

            } else if (columnIndex == addressStreet1ColumnIndex) {

                final String text = formatAddress(cursor);
                ((TextView) view).setText(text);
                return true;

            }

            return false;
        }
    };

wish help you to fix your issue Its kind of weird for me, after many other experiments I learnt that having the id of the CheckedTextView same as the one used in android.R.layout.simple_list_item_single_choice worked for me. The id is @android:id/text1.

hope this fix your issue because Android reuses views. When your list of checkable items is scrolled beyond the screen, the new items showing at the bottom are reused from previous ones. You need to keep track of the state of each item (a sparse array works well) and in each view, check the state from the array and set the checkedtextview accordingly.

this one helps. You have given the listView a custom layout, so it don't know how it should be looked when an item is checked. You can try with override the getView().
code :
        ArrayAdapter<String> arrayAdapter = new ArrayAdapter<String>(getApplicationContext(), R.layout.routes_list_item, R.id.stop_checkedtextbox, routesSubList){
        @NonNull
        @Override
        public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) {
            if(convertView == null){
                convertView = getActivity().getLayoutInflater().inflate(R.layout.routes_list_item);
            }
            CheckedTextView checkedTextView = (CheckedTextView) convertView.findViewById(R.id.stop_checkedtextbox);
            if(listView.isItemChecked(position)){
                checkedTextView.setChecked(true);
            }else{
                checkedTextView.setChecked(false);
            }
            return convertView;
        }
    };
