this one helps. You don't rotate the image, you rotate the canvas. Scaling is done using setBounds(). See this question for a bit of help.
I have my image set to resize but how do I make the image resize from the center as opposed to the upper left hand corne

wish helps you As far as I know, there's no jQuery functionality to do that, but you could do it manually by adjusting the top and left position as you resize the image to give the effect of it resizing from the center.
To do that you probably need to position absolutely so the left and top take effect like this fiddle

like below fixes the issue While you load large bitmap files, BitmapFactory class provides several decoding methods (decodeByteArray(), decodeFile(), decodeResource(), etc.).
STEP 1
code :
BitmapFactory.Options options = new BitmapFactory.Options();
options.inJustDecodeBounds = true;
BitmapFactory.decodeResource(getResources(), R.id.myimage, options);
int imageHeight = options.outHeight;
int imageWidth = options.outWidth;
String imageType = options.outMimeType;
public static Bitmap decodeSampledBitmapFromResource(Resources res, int resId,
    int reqWidth, int reqHeight) {

// First decode with inJustDecodeBounds=true to check dimensions
final BitmapFactory.Options options = new BitmapFactory.Options();
options.inJustDecodeBounds = true;
BitmapFactory.decodeResource(res, resId, options);

// Calculate inSampleSize
options.inSampleSize = calculateInSampleSize(options, reqWidth, reqHeight);

// Decode bitmap with inSampleSize set
options.inJustDecodeBounds = false;
return BitmapFactory.decodeResource(res, resId, options);
}

public static int calculateInSampleSize(
        BitmapFactory.Options options, int reqWidth, int reqHeight) {
// Raw height and width of image
final int height = options.outHeight;
final int width = options.outWidth;
int inSampleSize = 1;

if (height > reqHeight || width > reqWidth) {

    final int halfHeight = height / 2;
    final int halfWidth = width / 2;

    // Calculate the largest inSampleSize value that is a power of 2 and keeps both
    // height and width larger than the requested height and width.
    while ((halfHeight / inSampleSize) > reqHeight
            && (halfWidth / inSampleSize) > reqWidth) {
        inSampleSize *= 2;
    }
}

return inSampleSize;
}

wish helps you There is two ways to do it . first is to provide a cropper for it and second is you can resize bitmap and then send it to server . In second case user will not know which part of image (probably center) is cropped and uploaded as his/her profile picture . So i will recommend the first one cause in that way user will know which part of image is going to truncate. You must know that its hard to use in-build android crop app intent as it shows different behavior in different devices .So you must use third party Crop library for it of you can create your own cropper. Here are some useful Crop libraries that you can use. There are a bunch of libraries for it on github you can look for for them .
