MS Word Office Automation - Filling Text Form Fields And Check Box Form Fields And Mail Merge

By : user1433332

will help you I will sent two examples for solving your automation problem. The first one is using MailMerge and the second is using bookmarks.
The word file looks like this:
code :
    if (oDoc.Bookmarks.Exists("bkmFirstName"))
        object oBookMark = "bkmFirstName";
        oDoc.Bookmarks.get_Item(ref oBookMark).Range.Text = textBox1.Text;

    if (oDoc.Bookmarks.Exists("bkmLastName"))
        object oBookMark = "bkmLastName";
        oDoc.Bookmarks.get_Item(ref oBookMark).Range.Text = textBox2.Text;

    SaveAs("D:/Test/Doc2.doc"); Quit();
    MessageBox.Show("The file is successfully saved!");
    foreach (Field myMergeField in oDoc.Fields)
        Range rngFieldCode = myMergeField.Code;
        String fieldText = rngFieldCode.Text;

        // GET only MAILMERGE fields
        if (fieldText.StartsWith(" MERGEFIELD"))
            Int32 endMerge = fieldText.IndexOf("\\");
            Int32 fieldNameLength = fieldText.Length - endMerge;
            String fieldName = fieldText.Substring(11, endMerge - 11);

            fieldName = fieldName.Trim();
            if (fieldName == "firstName")
                oWordApplic.Selection.TypeText("This Text Replaces the Field in the Template");
    SaveAs("D:/Test/Doc2.doc"); Quit();
    MessageBox.Show("The file is successfully saved!");
    ApplicationClass oWordApplic = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.ApplicationClass();
    private Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Document oDoc = new Document();

    public void Open(string strFileName)
        object fileName = strFileName;
        object readOnly = false;
        object isVisible = true;
        object missing = System.Reflection.Missing.Value;

        oDoc = oWordApplic.Documents.Open(ref fileName, ref missing, ref readOnly,
        ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing,
        ref missing, ref missing, ref isVisible, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing);

    public void SaveAs(string strFileName)
        object missing = System.Reflection.Missing.Value;
        object fileName = strFileName;

        oDoc.SaveAs(ref fileName, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing,
        ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing, ref missing);

    public void Quit()
        object missing = System.Reflection.Missing.Value;
        oWordApplic.Application.Quit(ref missing, ref missing, ref missing);

Making form fields nonempty and calculating averages from form data involving some empty fields using php

By : user3135445

To fix this issue Your trying to do a not empty check in an odd way to me. What I would do personally is simply loop through your $_POST vars first. Check them if they are empty. If so die or error out. example:
code :
    if(!empty($_POST)): //this is how trigger the processes for any form

    foreach($_POST as $k => $v):
            echo $k.' can not be blank.<br>';
            $error .= '<div>'.$k.' can not be blank.</div>'; //here is another option...

    //if you get here now do your averages or whatever you were wanting.

//anywhere else in your entire php page write this
if($error){echo $error; } //this is a basic check, if error is empty it will be false, if error is not empty above it will print out the fields that

Looping through Form fields and show all the form fields except hidden field in that form

I think the issue was by ths following , You could try looping through the fields with the following code; however, if the fields have a hidden attribute they will be hidden. No need to apply .show to elements that will already be displayed.
Loop through all visibile fields:
code :
$("#Form1 :input").not(':button, :hidden').each(function() {
    // do whatever with the fields here
// show form, clear hidden values
$(".dropdown").on('change', function() {
    if ($(this).val() == "Show all fields") {
        $("#Form1 :input").is(':hidden').each(function() {
$(".dropdown").on('change', function() {
    if ($(this).val() == "Show all fields") {
        $('#Form1 *').filter(':input').each(function() {(...)});

Codeigniter: Display database fields in html form then edited form fields are not visible into php script

To fix this issue I'm honestly sorry, I've just realized that in mixing that php and html, I've forgot to add name attribute in html tags.

Dynamic form with different form fields with logic where next set of form fields changes based off answer to current set

By : batsyk

I hope this helps . This might be an overly simplistic idea to a very complex question...
Create another table akin to this
code :
SetLogic         | NextQuestionSet
'1:A, 2:A, 3:B'  | '4,5,9'
'1:B, 2:A, 3:C'  | '4,7,9'
SetLogic         | QuestionId
'1:A, 2:A, 3:B'  | 4
'1:A, 2:A, 3:B'  | 5
'1:A, 2:A, 3:B'  | 9
'1:B, 2:A, 3:C'  | 4
'1:B, 2:A, 3:C'  | 7
'1:B, 2:A, 3:C'  | 9
CREATE FUNCTION [dbo].[SplitForDelimiter]
      @delimiter VARCHAR(10),
      @input VARCHAR(1000)

data VARCHAR(100)

DECLARE @tempstr VARCHAR(1000)
SET @tempstr = @input
WHILE(charindex(@delimiter,@tempstr,0) > 0)
      DECLARE @t VARCHAR(100)
      SET @t = Substring(@tempstr,0,(charindex(@delimiter,@tempstr,0)))
      INSERT into @tempTable (data) VALUES (@t)
      SET @tempstr = Substring(@tempstr,charindex(@delimiter,@tempstr,0)+1,Len(@tempstr))
      if(charindex(@delimiter,@tempstr,0) <=0)
      INSERT into @tempTable (data) VALUES (@tempstr)
