should help you out I would advise this book because it is recent for a J2ME book and because using a Symbian device for your first development efforts will have the huge advantage of being easily able to use Exception stack traces to find problems.
You will want to look into resources directly from Sun/Oracle and the JCP.

With these it helps It depends on what you want to do with javascript.
If you want to go deeper into the javascript, want to experiment with it, then become a master in javascript. In that case I will suggest you to read this excellent book by Douglas Crockford. Becoming a master of something never hurts. But if you want to become a developer and want to only build websites with javascript, then learn the core basics and move on to learning jquery.

Any of those help Let's build the query step by step.
First, get the authors who have a book in book_list.
code :
authors = Author.objects.filter(book__in=book_list)
# remember to import Count!
from django.db.models import Count

authors = Author.objects.filter(book__in=book_list
          ).annotate(num_books=Count('id')
Authors in selected books:
{% for author in authors %}
{{ author.name }}: {{ author.num_books }}<br />
{% endfor %}

With these it helps I think the book you want is Mahout in Action. I'm a coauthor and don't mind recommending it to you since I think it directly addresses your points: Mahout APIs, Hadoop, steps to implementing a recommender.

To fix this issue This is pretty old book and some things are deprecated in current version of Django.
Try this import:
code :
from books.models import Publisher, Author, Book
from mysite.books.models import Publisher, Author, Book
