this will help Is it possible to specify in the JUnit Run configuration in Eclipse a name pattern (say **/integration/*Test) that should be excluded from the test run when running all tests of a project? , You could extend the Suite class, override

this will help You can do this as follows:
Your pom.xml should contain the following setup.
code :
<configuration>
   <excludes>
       <exclude>**/TestCircle.java</exclude>
        <exclude>**/TestSquare.java</exclude>
   </excludes>
</configuration>
<excludes>
    <exclude>%regex[.*[Cat|Dog].*Test.*]</exclude>
</excludes>
@Category(com.myproject.annotations.Exclude)
@Test
public testFoo() {
   ....
}
<configuration>
  <excludedGroups>com.myproject.annotations.Exclude</excludedGroups>

I hope this helps you . I'm not sure if Java Logging can auto-detect configuration files in the same way that log4j can.
Have you tried specifying where the configuration file is for the test runner, e.g.:
code :
-Djava.util.logging.config.file=path/to/logging.properties

I think the issue was by ths following , One solution is to first use maven - i.e mavenise your project to remove the dependency on Eclipse. Then tests can be easily compiled and run from command line. Ant could also be used to do this but Maven is a much cleaner solution. To run them regularly every night, I would definitely suggest a continuous integration tool like Jenkins both for it's ease of configurability and it's reporting mechanism - it generates great easily accessible test reports. What is the problem you face in setting up Jenkins on iSeries?

I hope this helps you . I switched to the JUnit 5 test runner, and it picked up on everything just fine. It's vintage package was able to find all my JUnit 4 tests, and I've since modified several tests to use the newfangled annotations and Assertions in JUnit 5.
Perhaps this was a known bug/limitation in the JUnit 4 runner? Ah well. It works now.
