Any of those help I have had the same problem at a project we wanted keep using the validate request options as a first line of defense. The problem is that in web forms, the form values are validated during the initial phase of process request.
The way we eventually solved this is in the following way:

This might help you The server should indicate error or success through a HTTP status code (e.g. 200 = OK, 500 = error). This you can catch in your REST client, with JQuery
code :
    url: 'service/generatedPDF',
    error: function(jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown) {
        ... // show error message
).done(function(data) {
    // data contains the PDF

        die( 'Bad login, but no PHP warning thrown.');

Hope that helps You need to implement a retry mechanism. Here is an example in python How to retry after exception in python?. A retry mechanism will keep the bot up and avoid the error assuming the connection corrects itself in a reasonable amount of time.
Check out Python requests exception handling for an example of catching your specific exception.
code :
from requests import ConnectionError
import requests
import json
import time
import os
connection_timeout = 30 # seconds
# My chat is up and running, I need to maintain it! Get me all chat updates
start_time = time.time()
while True:
        get_updates = json.loads(requests.get(url + 'getUpdates').content)
    except ConnectionError:
        if time.time() > start_time + connection_timeout:
            raise Exception('Unable to get updates after {} seconds of ConnectionErrors'.format(connection_timeout))
            time.sleep(1) # attempting once every second
# Ok, I've got 'em. Let's iterate through each one

like below fixes the issue Result has a function called or, that allows you to forward the result if it's Ok, or transform it if it's an error. With that, you can do something like this:
code :
fn foo(dir_a: &Path, dir_b: &Path, dir_c: &Path) -> Result<(), MyError> {

    /* do something */

it should still fix some issue I don't have access to a Solaris 10 system at the moment, but according to the Oracle documentation, you can use the ndd utility to query (and set) the configured buffer size maximums for TCP and UDP:
