With these it helps It seems like this was indeed a bug on libpcap. According to this bug report on their GitHub page, pcap_compile was causing some memory leak very similar to the one I experienced on my codes.

How can one break a pcap_loop() or pcap_dispatch() in the absence of an incoming packet to trigger the callback fn?
