Automatic compiler optimizations in Java control structures?

By : Ajay G Pai

I wish this help you Generally, such an optimization would be wrong. The methods are virtual, so they may be changed in a subclass to do something entirely different (such as returning random numbers) and it may be hard to impossible to statically prove (yes, it needs to be a proof) that they return the same value on every iteration even if they were final. In fact, maybe they don't do that at all (think another thread changing the number of rows/columns in parallel - yeah, you got an whole lot of other problems in that case, but it still needs to be considered).
And apart from that, the compiler doesn't need to optimize anything: At runtime, the JIT-compiler can optimize much more. For instance, it can generate code with the virtual calls inlines and it may (depending on the code) be able to factor out the wrong (at least if they unconditionally return a constant). If can't, however, change semantics, so again, it won't do this. If it's really important, do it yourself. Either way, check if it's a bottleneck at all.

PHP: Switch() If{} other control structures

Hope that helps How do you execute logic with out the use of Switch or If? , You can use ternary operator for the same as
code :
function check_id_switch($id){
    return $HW = ($id == 1) ? 'Hello, World!' : 'Goodbye, World!';
function check_id_switch($id = '2'){
    $arr = [1 => "Hello, World!", 2 => "Goodbye, World!"];
    return $arr[$id];

How to use Collections or Sets to organize data structures inside data structures in Java?

Any of those help It's hard to tell without knowing how exactly your data looks like and it might be a little too much for SO.
However, assuming "ENT" would be some arbitrary key (I'll assume it is a string) you could use a Map where Entity would be a class that contains your inner structure(s).
code :
Map<String, Entity> entities = ...;
class Entity {
  List<Element> elements = new ArrayList<>();

  Element getElement( int index ) {
    if( index < 0 || index >= elements.size() ) {
      return null; //out of range, i.e. no such element

    return elements.get(index);
//note that you'd need to handle "ENT" not being present, i.e. the get() returning null
entities.get( "ENT" ).getElement( 2 );

Control structures (IF/ELSE)

should help you out Since there can be many employees with the last name passed by the user, you may use an implicit CURSOR FOR LOOP. Also, add first_name in the output for clarity.
code :
     v_ename employees.last_name%TYPE := '&LNAME';
     v_sal employees.salary%TYPE;

for rec IN ( SELECT first_name,last_name,salary
    FROM employees WHERE last_name = v_ename

   IF rec.salary < 3000 THEN
     v_sal := rec.salary + 500;
     dbms_output.put_line (rec.first_name||' '||rec.last_name ||
                         ' has an increase');
   ELSIF rec.salary  > 3000  THEN
     dbms_output.put_line (rec.first_name||' '||rec.last_name ||
                         ' does not have an increase ');

   ELSE dbms_output.put_line ('error');
     v_ename employees.last_name%TYPE := '&LNAME';
     v_ename employees.last_name%TYPE := 'Grant';

Differences between the control structures php and control structures javascript

By : Kitton

wish help you to fix your issue Öhm, there are many big differences. The most important thing is that JavaScript runs on client side through your browser and PHP runs on server side. For PHP you need a webserver with a PHP module to understand that type of script.
PHP code stays on the server. If you ran your PHP side the server will send you the through PHP generated HTML. The JavaScript code will be send together with this HTML to the client/Browser and after it it will be called...
